CONTENTS PAGEPLANNING AND FINAL DESIGN

LAYOUTI have used a structured layout to create my contents page. The columns make it easy for the readers to find the information they would like to read about.

The layout also consists of images that are linked to an E! NEWS interview and ‘TOP POPS’ exclusive interview.

At the bottom of the contents page is an editors letter, this allows the readers to learn and read about the editor of the magazine and what they think is special and unique about this weeks issue.

ImagesThe images that consist on the contents page are not shown on the planning but on the top part of the contents page I will include a picture of a female holding a trophy so that it will match with the text.

On bottom part will be an image which consists of a picture of a male standing for a photoshoot.

Both of these images will be taken by myself and will be taken with the persons consent.

Main image:

The main image will consist of a young man, it is a large image to catch the readers attention.

The image links to the main image on the front cover on the magazine.

Editors letter I have decided to include an editors letter on the contents page, this is because I feel it connects the reader to the magazine as a s whole, as it is more personal. By looking at the data from my questionnaire it was the most popular choice to feature on the contents page.

The colour scheme will consist of a white background with black text.

The signature at the bottom will be in black too.

This week…

The most popular vote on my questionnaire was that on the questionnaire the audience only wanted to see the most important stories.

The text is in bold and the page number is in italic. It is a clear and easy to read layout and format.

The word ‘contents’ is in the same font as editors letter however the text is larger. It is situated on the top left hand side of the page.

The logo for top pops is situated at the left top hand side of the contents page where I felt it was suited best. The colour scheme for the logo will be consistent throughout the magazine.
