Colour

The main colour used through the content page is white and purple. It gives the page a ‘girly’ look and will attract the young female audience that they want. The colours used are not consistent through the magazine and double page spreads which means there’s no house style, just any bright eye catching colours are used.

Text

The magazine has included a letter from the editor. This gives the magazine and personal touch and appears friendly and special. It starts with ‘hey girls’ confirming the target audience for the magazine is females.The language used in this letter is very informal and very relatable helping draw in the audience.

The bottom half of the contents is what is in the magazine. It is split into four headings each with subheading telling you the page number of each story, this is done in three columns. All the writing is in san serif font with the heading is pink banners helping them to stand

out.

There is masthead at the top of the page in the middle but it is not in the same font as the masthead on the font cover. It is in san serif but is quite small and doesn’t draw much attention to it. 

Image

There are lots of small images used on the page. There a 3 small pictures of the editor which could make the audience feel more comfortable reading the magazine and it seems more personal like you know her. An image on the front cover is used with arrows coming from it telling the audience what page they can find articles that feature on the front page. This makes it easier for the reader to navigate round the magazine .

Four little images have been used in the contents section as a way to visually display to the reader what different articles are about. It is also a way to draw their attention by using a long image of a celebrity who they will recognise.
