1. Contact Sheet 2. I chose this image because I felt it best depicted the image of a teen idol. The use of lighting and composition reflect well with the image and support the idea of youth and beauty, a role model to younger women and a desirable figure for a male audience. The photograph was taken in front of a brick wall to represent street life commonly associated with not only the teen culture but specifically the rock and punk fashion and music trend. I chose this image for similar reasons to the first image, however I believe that this image due to the black and white image filter adds a retro effect and can be better related to the traditional rock/punk music scene while the first image depicts a more modern take on the teen fashion culture. I chose this image because unlike the other two the model is not directly addressing the camera and therefore the audience. This depicts the model as being without contact with the audience and above them as opposed to equal t. this makes the audience think that he is above them and that they should aspire to be like him. The coloured background gives connotations of youth and liveliness which I believe is a beneficial when trying to connect the audience.
