When Was it Written?
• The U.S constitution was written on September 17, 1787 after many compromises about slavery and how the government and power should be set up.

Who Created it?
• Delegates from 12 states met at the Philadelphia Convention and 39 of the delegates signed the document.

Why Was it Written?
• The Constitution was written to fix the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation and to make a stronger government.

• Problems the Constitution solved were the issues with money, the weak central government, and problems with state power.

What Are Its Limitations?• Checks and Balances: each branch of
government is able to limit the power of the other branches
• Separation of Powers: division of government powers among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.

How Would I Improve the Constitution?
• A way that I would improve the Constitution would be to make the House of Representatives and the Senate have the same amount of representatives for each state.

Relevance?
• I believe that the Constitution is still relevant today. The government still goes by the document and there are still amendments that that being added.
