Raising Child Relatives
Are you a grandparent or kinship care provider currently raising a grandchild or
family member due to the Opioid Crisis in Ohio? We can help!!
Legal Aid of Western Ohio (LAWO) has created the Grandfamilies Legal
Assistance Project to help families affected by the Opioid Crisis in Ohio.
We offer presentations with information to provide support for legal issues,
emotional issues, school guidance and public resources available to navigate
ways to raise your grandkids or kin.
Navigating the legal system, school systems and medical care services for a
child in your care can be complicated, time-consuming and often overwhelming
for kinship caregivers. Legal Aid of Western Ohio also offers legal clinics to assist
family members and kinship caregivers with a full range of services varying from
legal advice all the way to full representation in some cases. You must
pre-register for the clinics by calling Legal Aid Line at 1-888-534-1432.

DATED MATERIAL
A PLACE WHERE FRIENDS MEET!
For Y our Information The board of trustees of the Enrichment Centers for Huron County voted on
Thursday, July 11th to dismiss Roxanne Sandles as their Executive Director. It was not
an easy decision to reach, however we felt it is in the best interest of the Norwalk and
Willard Centers.
Ms. Sandles had been Executive Director since 2016. Her compassion and love for
the seniors of Huron County was evident in everything she did. We regret having to
take this action, however, Ms. Sandles failed to meet the Board’s expectations where
leadership and teambuilding were concerned.
We are also sorry to lose Lisa Gleisner and Melinda Roth in the Activities Department.
Lisa’s resignation was effective Monday, July 15th, Ms. Roth’s was effective Friday,
July 12, 2019.
We wish all three success in their future endeavors. And, we ask your patience and
understanding while we search for replacements.
