New American Sustainable
Agriculture ProjectMission: to assist immigrant and
refugee farmers to grow successful agricultural
enterprises which are consistent with their culture and strengthen
regional agriculture.
Participating farmers and gardeners are recently resettled African refugees from Sudan and Somalia and immigrants from
Guatemala who live in Lewiston and Portland, Maine and Manchester, NH.
As small scale farmers continue to demonstrate success, we will need to increase our capacity to help them
