Overview The purpose of this programme is to introduce junior manager to the preparation

and procedures required in conducting a structured meeting to ensure that

objectives are achieved.

The benefit of this unit standard is that the learner, on completion of this programme,

will be able to arrange and conduct a structured meeting, which will benefit the

participants as well as the company.

The Scope of “Conduct a Structured Meeting”

After completion of this programme, you will be able to:

���� Conduct a meeting

���� Deal with differing views in a meeting

���� Distribute records of a meeting

Credit Value

After the learner successfully completed this programme and is declared

competent the credit weighting of 5 credits will be obtained.

Learning time

It will take the average learner approximately 50 learning hours to master the

outcomes of this programme. This notional hours includes the time spent in the

classroom, time you will use to complete your formative activities, self study and the

time that you will use to prepare for your assessment.

Learning assumed to be in place

Learners should be competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at

NQF Level 3.

Mode of delivery

This programme will be delivered to you in a two day facilitated workshop. During

this two days you will be required to complete formative activities during class time

as well as after class in your own study time.

Assessment

Formative assessment will take place during the learning process in class through

means of exercises. You will be required to complete activities as part of a group in

class as well as individual activities. This formative activities will help prepare you for

your final assessment.

Summative assessment will be conducted at the end of this learning process through

means of a Portfolio of Evidence.
