CONTRACEPTIVE PILL
1 - Who invented the pill? Luis Ernesto Miramontes Cárdenas (1925 -
2004) , inventor of the first oral contraceptive , it was a Mexican chemist born in Tepic , Nayarit on March 16, 1925 and died in Mexico City on 13 September 2004 . He studied high school in the National Preparatory School, UNAM, Degree in Chemical Engineering at UNAM, and was research co - founder of the Institute of Chemistry of the same university, conducting research in the area of organic chemistry.
2 - Invention of the tablet The scientific work of Luis Miramontes is very extensive and
covers many written publications and nearly 40 national and international patents in different areas such as organic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, petrochemistry and chemistry of atmospheric pollutants. Among his many contributions to science Mexican and universal synthesis highlights the October 15, 1951, when Miramontes had only 26 years of age, of norethisterone, which is the basis of the first active compound synthetic oral contraceptive, better known as a pill. For this reason he is considered the inventor. Luis E. Miramontes received the patent of the compound with Carl Djerassi, and George Rosenkranz, Mexican chemical company Syntex SA
It is common for the invention of the pill is assigned exclusively to Djerassi or Rosenkranz. Historians, however, agree that the invention - or first synthesis - is because Miramontes. For example, Nobel laureate Max Perutz states that "the October 15, 1951, the chemistry student Luis Miramontes , working under the direction of Djerassi and laboratory director Jorge Rosenkranz synthesized the compound called norethisterone." Djerassi himself corroborates this version stating that it was, in fact, Miramontes who synthesized the compound for the first time
3 - How effective is the pill? Today, thanks to scientific progress and
social, the pill has a higher success rate to 99.9 percent and its side effects are virtually nonexistent in any stage of adulthood for women.4 - At what age should you start
taking? At 18 years. If you use these contraceptives before this age, this can cause sterility, sexual coldness parent and child.
5 - Recommendations for use 1 - The first tablet is taken on them low.
Only and only that day. To have better control , and check that they have not been forgotten some , most are in blister aluminum template or where they are contained , legends with the days of the week, ie above each pill says MON, TUE , MIE , etc. . If you take down a Thursday which says THU.
2 - Day must take them one by one, clear, preferably on a similar schedule.
3 - If you were to forget one, the day can take double dose. But if they forget more than one, or the next week, so to speak, again forget another: be sure to use a backup that month, or condom
4 - Do not mix the pills with alcohol, which can lose effectiveness
5 - Now when they have finished the box (pill number 21), in the following days menstruate. During the 7 days off, are protected. So during the 21 days made a disciplined one, allowing the full dose enters your system, your ovulation is suppressed. So these days off / bleeding, no fertilized egg which therefore no chance of becoming pregnant.
6 - The second and all subsequent box and take of the seven days that ended exactly the case.
NOTE: The first box is 99 % safe. That first month should support condom use. Still not enough hormone in the body so that even the second box can be completely calm and be protected.
