Act as Technical Authority as and when required during conceptual, interface (mock – up) engineering, in-process fabrication/construction, provisions of vendor document register / vendor document requirement lists / contract documents deliverables lists,, pre and post vendor selection / approval,, design, fabrication, construction, material and corrosion assessment multistage

Develop, prepare and issue annual budget forecast for offshore and onshore inspection, topsides technical integrity and verification work;

Attend daily conference call meeting chaired by Project or Production Manager;

Advise Company in the areas of inspection, code compliance, welding, corrosion, risk base assessment and material requirements and selections.

Plant Integrity Management comprising of:-

(upstream, downstream & subsea)

Plant Integrity Management System Audits i.e.

Compliance with national legislation and local requirements

– Onshore – mechanical damage, corrosion, ground seismic movement, etc

Corrosion Management i.e. Congregate process data e.g. temperatures, pressures and fluid compositions during both normal operation and upset conditions

Consider the safety risk assessment in order to:-

– Identify pressurized systems

– Identify major hazards

– Identify HAZOP actions related to corrosion and materials

Conduct corrosion risk assessment e.g.

– Calculation of internal corrosion rates

– Assessment of stress corrosion cracking threat

– Assessment of erosion threat

– Assessment of external corrosion including under insulation e.g. ECDA & ICDA

Produce corrosion management scheme e.g.

– Select materials (CRA or carbon steel with corrosion allowance – CA)

– Select corrosion control methods e.g. inhibition, coatings, cathodic protection

– Select corrosion monitoring methods and locations

– Devise suitable key performance indicator KPI for corrosion management

– Document change procedure for revising sheme if process parameters are altered e.g. after debottlenecking

– Produce plant/field corrosion management guide/manual
