Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor! Performance

Social Media Notes• Terms to know• MAU = Monthly Active Users• KPI= (Key Performance indicators) A set of quantifiable measures that a company

or industry uses to gauge or compare performance in terms of meeting their strategic and operational goals

• Beta = The first stage is an "alpha" version, in which software testers within the company test and debug a program as necessary. A "beta" version is the name for the second stage, in which it is often released for free or at a reduced price to a group of external users for additional testing. Websites also commonly go through this phase during development, to see how well they function for a large user base. – Purpose and Different TypesThe beta version of a software release is considered to be a preview; though it may include many standard features, it is not yet ready for wide release or sale. During this phase, the developers collect feedback from users about the product's functionality, including what they like and what should be changed before its wide release.

The 4 P’s of Marketing Are Obsolete!

To stand out, mention the 7P’s and Porters Five Forces!Examples are on the following slides

Porter’s Five Forces

• What is it?

Porters five forces – Lowe’s

Porter’s Five Forces Model of CompetitionThe utilization of Porter’s Five Forces Model allowed for an overall assessment of principal forces that Lowe’s must contend within the home improvement market. Analysis from the model identified that Lowe’s experiences significant pressures from rivalry with competitors. Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Menards were discovered to have the most significant impact. Substitutes were also found to be influential, because of current economic conditions within the United States that would cause consumers to opt for lower ticket items, or a savings account in lieu of large home improvement purchases. Additionally, buyer power and supplier power have moderate to semi-strong influence upon Lowe’s. A highlight from the model is that new entry into the market is unlikely, and becomes rather improbable when entry into the national market is considered. The Porter’s Five Forces Model for Lowe’s may be found on the next slide.
