These durable and lightweight products are available in various shapes, sizes and designs with different functionalities designed to suit a variety of environments. We offer labels for use on the shelf edge, in frozen and fresh food displays, and for peg-hook products, as well as larger labels for fruit and vegetable sections, deli counters and gondola ends.

Until now in-store merchandising has been limited in its responsiveness to changes in the market place and consumer dynamics and is generally reactive, rather than adaptive. An ESL solution provides you with the ability to implement an adaptive merchandising strategy within individual stores based on geography, demography and competition. DISPLAY- Dot matrix.

The Dot Matrix ESL allows the complete reproduction of a paper label, including the product name, logo, recognizable brand image and bar code. These labels can be easily customized and information on special offers and promotions can also be displayed. The display has a greater brightness and a broader viewing angle than a comparable LCD display - providing a 180° degree view.

The system allows ESLs to be updated using Wi-Fi PDAs and ESLs are fully compliant and compatible with mobile hand scanners.

These latest Dot Matrix ESLs are all managed from a single infrastructure and software solution and are fully integrated with your 'back-office' data systems.

UPDATE SPEED

An update on our ESL solution only takes between less than 1 minute to complete for individual ESLs. Competing solutions take on average 20 seconds to update with any increase to this speed leading to a detrimental impact upon battery life. The speed of our solution ensures that operator confusion over whether price updates have been successful, a problem with slower ESL solutions, does not occur.

In a store environment, a minimum of 20,000 labels can be updated every hour. This figure assumes that on each label every pixel has to change. Of course the reality is that in many cases, the price may be the only item that needs to change, meaning that this update speed will be even higher.

BATTERY LIFE

Dot Matrix displays use a new display technology called 'bistable', which requires very limited power to make changes to the display and requires no power to retain images on the screen. The power efficiency is such that each wireless ESL could be updated 5 times a day for 7 years.

This is a proven and reliable technology and our ESL partners have already installed over 70 million ESLs in nearly 5,300 stores in Japan, France, Sweden and other countries around the globe.
