Precision Investment Castings has over 65 years experience in manufacturing precision components in Aluminium, Steel and other specialised metal alloys.

At PI Castings we offer a broad range of manufacturing services, all of which are carried out to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 aerospace standards.

Our UK based foundry is fully equipped to manufacture high integrity investment castings in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Our machine shop is capable of providing a variety of CNC machining solutions.

We have over 30 years experience producing rapid prototypes to aid with product development.

We can also supply our customers with a range of low cost sourced products through our manufacturing partners in the Far East.

INVESTMENT CASTING

Manufacturing high integrity precision investment castings since 1950.

At PIC we have been producing investment castings since 1950; making us one of the longest established investment casting manufacturers in Europe. Our purpose-built facilities allow us to run two production lines side by side, this means that we are able to manufacture our high integrity investment castings in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

We can produce investment castings in: Aluminium alloys, carbon steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel & cobalt based alloys, brass, zinc, bronze and other specialised alloys. The investment castings that we manufacture range from less than 5mm to 600mm.

CNC MACHINING

Our CNC Machining capacity allows us to machine castings and machine components from solid.

Our machining facilities allow us to manufacture products that have features which could not be achieved through casting alone.

This means that we can improve the dimensional accuracy of our components, and achieve tighter tolerances and a finer surface finish than the casting process would permit.We can supply our customers with components that have

the benefits associated with both Investment Casting and machining from solid.

At PI Castings we offer a complete CNC Machining service. We are able to fully project manage the manufacture of precision components and complete sub-contract work onbehalf of our customers.

STEEL CASTINGS

30 years experience producing cast metal rapid prototypes.

PI Castings are able to produce cast metal rapid prototypes. Our customers use our expertise and experience to develop their products and decide upon the best route to manufacture.

Our rapid prototypes are produced using the same technique as our high integrity precision investment castings. As a result, our rapid prototype castings have good integrity and properties that

will be similar to those created in final production.

Through our partners, we can also produce rapid prototypes using Stereolithography, Quickcast, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

LOW COST SOURCING

Low cost doesn’t mean low quality.

At PI Castings, our low cost sourcing services are governed by our stringent in-house quality control procedures, which ensure that our customers only receive products that meet their exacting standards and requirements.

The expertise and experience in PI Castings have allowed us to forge excellent partnership arrangements with a number of high-ly trusted and reliable manufacturing partners in the Far East, from which we can deliver a variety of cast, machined, moulded and fabricated components to our customers, at a competitive price.

Our NADCAP approved Non-Destructive Testing facilities allow us to fully inspect castings and other products sourced from low cost sources. This allows us to give products sourced from overseas our seal of approval before they are delivered to our customers.Our CNC Machining facilities can be utilised to give our custom-ers the advantage of UK machining accuracy and quality whilst maintaining the cost benefits associated with low cost supply products.
