Standard ProductsMost of Newman gaskets are post-cured, an added
expensive step that assures you our gaskets and other
parts are without equal in the industry. Overall, they
are less likely to adhere to equipment fittings and lines,
and have the lowest compression set. This means your
production flow is as smooth as possible. With our parts,
you eliminate loss of product and improve your quality
control, lower costs of frequent replacement and reduce
down-time and labor costs.
Our complete and varied line of standard style and
size gaskets includes sanitary piping gaskets, manhole
gaskets, sight glass gaskets, orifice plates, screen gas-
kets, valve and pump gaskets as well as pipe hangers,
camlock coupling gaskets and ANSI flange gaskets for all
schedules and weight lines. Also included in our product
line is the largest North American inventory of FDA
compliant “O”-rings.
All Newman products are made from compounds
formed to match your exact applications...such as
Buna-N, VitonTM, Silicone, EPDM and Teflon®. And all our
products meet the criteria of the FDA and USP Class VI.

Tooling design in a thought stimulating environment
is also supplemented by our extensive computer aided
design capabilities. Your custom parts production starts
with the design phase. Our custom molded products
are developed using concurrent engineering techniques
to assure a time-line from concept to production that
has the consensus of both your team and Newman’s
development staff. This complex task is the result of total
coordination of vendor’s schedules with the allocation of
Newman’s in-house resources to minimize the time re-
quired for tooling to be built and samples manufactured.
Also adding to our custom molding capabilities
are our injection molding machines, a vertical unit and
a liquid injection molding unit. We can now produce
your parts from a variety of compounds by compression,
transfer or injection molding methods.
In short, you can count on us to work with you to

Quality Assurance... finest in the industry. We guarantee highest quality sanitary elastomer parts available on
the market. We can do so because quality is a natural by-product of
our stringent process control systems. Our process control systems
for standard and custom part manufacturing are designed for excel-
lence and continuous improvement. We monitor performance with
Statistical Process Control (SPC), which drives our improvement and
consistency. Much of our equipment is microprocessor-controlled for
greatest precision, while we rely on our experienced staff to get the
best performance from the rest of our manufacturing equipment.
We document the performance of equipment on a regular basis.
This helps ensure that parts are up to specifications. Not only that,
we also design quality into the chemistry of the compounds for each
application and into the equipment we use for molding, forming, or
extrusion. Therefore, our end products have the finest quality in the
industry.
Rigorous Testing to Assure QualityNewman Sanitary Gasket Company has invested in high-tech
laboratory capabilities to verify performance of the products we
supply to you. We’ve staffed our lab with top notch chemists,
statisticians, and engineers who can use the latest technologies to
check specifications, perform stress tests, and assure product com-
pliance. Every batch of polymer and every lot of gaskets is tested for
physical properties and optically inspected to meet tolerances. We
strive to complete end product testing in a timely manner so that
we never hold up a shipment to you longer than necessary.
Our special computer generated laser trimmer cleans the excess rubber from the wire mesh along the ID of the gasket. Giving you a superior product free of excess material around the screen.
InspectionOur inspectors are the gatekeepers to our inventory of high quality
sanitary gaskets and elastomer parts. They are a dedicated group of
professionals with attention to detail who are trained to spot flaws
such as flashings or misshaping. In many instances every part is
inspected by hand. We also rely on special devices to verify that our
parts will perform as intended in your processing equipment. This all
occurs before product is inventoried and shipped to you.
At Newman, our inspectors provide feedback to quality assur-
ance and manufacturing to identify areas for continuous improve-
ment. Our inspectors don’t just catch imperfections, but they also
help us know just how smooth our standard and customized
molding processes are performing. Their findings are useful for mak-
ing adjustments to novel processing parameters on custom molding
processes. All this is undertaken to make sure we supply your opera-
tion with the highest quality sanitary gaskets and elastomer parts.
