This is One of the reasons why Community Volunteers Uganda is committed towards voluntary action for change.

We recruit volunteers who share in our goal of empowering under resourced communities which have been excluded from main-stream social and economic opportunities.

Children orphaned by HIV/AIDS are deprived of access to scholastic materials and other needs that make education enjoyable - leaving them unable to enjoy their rights as well as attaining full potential and participation as full members of society.

The Subject Education Project aims to support access to basic education for orphans . We place Volunteers at the Loving Hands Orphanage to support with delivery of concepts in subjects like maths ,english , science and other studies.

Subject Education

Volunteer Role • Support teaching of English , Maths ,

Science and any other subject.

• Support teachers with assessing perfor-mance of the kids through assignments.

• Engage kids in non formal learning like games , sports among others.

• Share your culture with kids and tell them about home country to motivate them.

• Mentor children and act as a role model Early Child Education

Reproductive Health Education

We aim at reducing the incidence of unintended pregnancies, abortion and unsafe childbirth, STDs and HIV/AIDS among adolescents (10-19 years of age). This programme is geared to adolescents; we are having a school-based intervention programme where we train teachers, peer counsellors, and educate parents, and also develop educational and information materials. The project also has a community health outreach component , which aims to sensitize and provide testing and counseling services in the community. If you are passionate about community health empoerment , this is the right way to contribute to health empowerment in a rural commuinty ravaged by HIV/AIDS.

Volunteer Role • Conducting workshops for community leaders, volunteers and

the general community on HIV/AIDS, advocacy, human rights and development issues.• Promoting awareness and increasing knowledge about Malaria prevention and control and sensitization about STI, HIV/AIDS and TB situations in schools and communities.• Home Based Care, Child counselling and offering psychosocial support and preventive health care to Orphans, other Vulnerable Children and widows.• Advocating and raising awareness about children’s rights, towards creating a situation of hope to the needy orphans infected or affected by HIV/AIDS and promote an environment that is conducive to their welfare.• Recruit and train a pool of community peer educators and village heath teams • Research about modern trends in HIV/AIDS prevention commu-nication strategies

You CLICK Is a needs based agenda to spread the culture of computer use among primary school children ensuring that the largest number of young people have opportunities to use computers as well as access to information and a global network.

The project is aimed to address the underlying barriers preventing timely access to information by school kids. The project shall help primary school pupils to learn how to use computers at an ealry age and this shall increase performance and academic outcomes. It also open the minds of the pupils towards the digital age.

Volunteer Role

• Delivering Computer trainings to primary school pupils ( Theory and practice )

• Organising Online demonstrations for school pupils

• Assessing the Pupils performance through assignments

Widow Economic Empowerment

Work with widows/women living with HIV/AIDS engaged in income generating activities through bead making, crafts from local cheap materials.

• Recruit new project participants • Train and support local widow innovation in crafts and bead making • Support in market research and marketing strategy • Research and develop new income generating activities for widows with HIV/AIDS • Design a business model that is sustainable • Review and offer recommendations for change in designs
