Start from babies
It’s never too early to start sharing stories. Point out the pictures and encourage your baby to babble. Your baby will love the sound of your voice so make sure you find a quiet place to enjoy your story. It’s good to share the same stories and rhymes again and again. Repeating phrases helps build children’s speech & language.

Neighbourhood Watch coordinator,
we need you!

report suspicious incidents, receive
news by email and meet up about
twice a year.

make Wixams a great place to live,

What is Anti Social Behavior?
Anti-social behavior is virtually any intimidating or threatening activity that impacts on you or your quality of life.
Examples include:
♦ Nuisance neighbours ♦ Yobbish behaviour and intimidating groups taking over public spaces
♦ Vandalism, graffiti and fly-posting ♦ People dealing and buying drugs on the street
♦ People dumping rubbish and abandoned cars ♦ Begging and anti-social drinking ♦ The misuse of fireworks ♦ Reckless driving of mini-motorbikes.
Anti-social behavior can have a negative impact on many people’s lives, and we are committed to tackling it. Anti-social behaviour is 'acting in an anti-social manner as a manner that caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household' as the perpetrator.

Developers’ News
Bloor Homes
With larger 4 and 5 bedroom properties
overlooking the village lake and open
areas, close to the bridge linking to
Brooklands Avenue, Bloor Homes have
a limited number of homes left.
Lagan Homes
This is the last chance for people to buy
one of the few remaining homes at
Wixams. Lagan Homes, the first
developer to build houses at Wixams
now have only one 2 bedroom coach
house and seven large 4 - 5 bedroom
homes for sale.
Taylor Wimpey
Both Westlow Abbey and Heritage Park
sales staff are busy. At Westlow Abbey
sales are steady with purchaser moving
into their new homes. Heritage Park
sales office, with its impressive show
home, have secured 3 sales in just 2
weeks. A number of new home owners
have moved in to Moorland Close and
Fieldfare View.
Careys New Homes
With sales are going well, purchasers
moving into their new homes in Brook-
lands Avenue and Blue Water Quay, 10
new properties released, and a new 2
bedroom show apartment opening in
November for visitors to look around, it is
a busy time for Careys at the Waterfront
Miller Homes
The sales office at Pilgrims Gate is now
open with a show home available to
view shortly. The development will offer
a range of 1 – 5 bedroom homes for
buyers
Also available through Miller Homes at
Pilgrims Gate is a limited amount of
HomeBuy Direct funding. HomeBuy
Direct is an equity loan scheme
available on specific new build
properties brought forward by
developers. Buyers are offered an eq-
uity loan of up to 30% of the purchase
price, co-funded by Government and
the developer.
