We’ll take a close look at where cash comes

from in a small business, where it’s used in

day-to-day operations and how to identify and

correct cash flow problems. You’ll be able to

identify key information on cash flow state-

ments and be able to follow the path of cash as

it travels through your company.You’ll identify

cash flow strategies to use in your organiza-

tion, become familiar with the sources and

uses of cash ratios and the most common

“gobblers” of cash in any business.

COMPANY’S CASH NEEDS Instructor: Kelly Dyer

This class is designed to teach you how to

create and use a cash budget to prepare for

future business performance. During this

course, you will learn to estimate future

sources and uses of cash. You will also learn

how to analyze your predictions to make

more informed decisions. At its conclusion,

you should be able to: forecast sales, receiv-

ables and expenses, use a cash budget to cre-

ate a month-by-month view and calculate

Break-Even, as it relates to business expan-

sions, workforce additions or capital expendi-

Take Both QuickBooks Classes for $140

Many business owners have no exit strategy in the event of their disability, retire-

ment or death. This class will help you identify your goals, prioritize what you need

to do to prepare for the transition and put you on the path to developing a viable

succession plan for your company. Having a roadmap for the future is the best way

to ensure the survival of the business.

During this session we will use “case study” financials with Profit and Loss State-

ment and Balance Sheets to illustrate a quick “valuation”

and how it may apply to your business.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL

TECHNICIAN Instructor: James Dugdale

Students completing this program will be

eligible for state licensure as an EMT and

will be qualified for employment in

hospital emergency departments and

ambulances. Students completing this

program will be eligible for state

licensure as EMT’s and will be qualified

for employment in hospital emergency

departments and on ambulances.

Content includes 120 hours of instruc-

tion plus clinical practice.

Prerequisite: Must have CPR certifica-

tion and a High School Diploma or GED

to take National Registry Exam. CPR

class is offered on Feb. 1. If you are not

certified we strongly recommend this

This is an 11-month program that prepares graduates for entry into the exciting and challenging field of nursing. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Council of Licensing Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Students who wish to further their education may take advantage of the articulation agreement with State Fair Community College towards their Associate of Science Degree in Nursing.

This class provides training for individuals want-

ing employment in long-term care facilities.

Training will cover basic nursing skills, fire

safety and disaster training, resident safety &

rights, etc. This class consists of 80 hours of

instruction and 100 hours hands-on training.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age

and have shot records up to date. Physical,

Uniform, PPD, TDap, MMR, varicella, polio and

Hepatitis B or waiver are required. A back-

ground check with the Family Care Safety Reg-

istry will be performed.

Interested in learning techniques to help save

lives? Do you need Certification for EMT Li-

SENIOR FIT CLUB Instructor: Michelle Robbins

Studies show that people with arthritis, heart

disease, or diabetes benefit from regular exer-

cise. This class offers a variety of exercises to

maintain and improve flexibility, increase bal-

ance reactions to prevent falls, and resistance

training to reduce the severity of arthritic flair

ups along with improving cardiovascular fitness

without putting too much stress on your

body. With this class you will be provided with

the education and tools to follow through with

a routine on a regular basis after the class is

over. These tools will help prevent a decline in

the future and help you stay as active as

possible in life.

AROMATHERAPY -

FROM THE GROUND UP! Instructor: Ann Harmon

Certified Aromatherapist and Herbalist

Aromatherapy & Essential Oils can enhance so

many areas in your daily life! This class will

cover the different plants, their properties and

distillation in becoming essential oils and

hydrosols. You will learn the different uses of

essential oils & hydrosols through inhalation

and application. Class participants will learn

how to blend oils and will make their own

blend to take home.

DRAWING FOR NON ARTISTS Instructor: Mary Resz

Learn how to draw without fear. This class is

for anyone who has always wished they could

draw, or for those who already can draw, but

want to get together in class where they'll be

motivated to stay focused.... come and draw

from life. Anyone can start with the skill set

they have and improve. Please bring a

sketch book (12” x 14" or larger), a few

pencils (2B, 4B, 6B), eraser, charcoal,

and a fine and extra fine sharpies. Large

paper, clip-boards and easels provided.

APPROACHABLE PAINTING Instructor: Mary Resz

Four weeks of painting fun! You'll amaze your-

self with the tricks and methods you'll learn to

make painting far more approachable. It is

suggested to bring tube-style acrylic

paints in basic primary colors plus black,

brown, and white, a water tub

(something like an empty Cool-Whip tub

with lid), a palette (the lid from your

water bowl is fine), and a canvas. Easels

What is “Zentangle”, you ask! It is an easy-to-

Ready? Let’s start cutting! Learn the basics of

Learn how to correctly conduct a meeting if

you are a chairman, officer or member who

wants to use Parliamentary Procedure in their

work, civic group, board or for personal

use! The class will include types of motions,

rules of debate, committees, etc.

Raised bed gardening is a popular technique for

growing plants and vegetables. It makes gar-

JELLY & PRESERVES Instructor: Matt Hart

Making and canning your own jelly and

preserves is easier than you would

think. This class will teach you techniques

BEGINNING PHOTOGRAPHY Instructor: David Roscher

This course is designed for those wanting to

learn the basics of the art of photography.

You will have the opportunity to learn proper

camera holding and stance, composition, use

of various camera settings (white balance,

manual settings, etc.). You will also have the

opportunity to use photo editing software and

show off your talent by completing various

projects. Please bring a digital camera of

your choice (no phone cameras please).

CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY Instructor: David Roscher

This course is designed to explore the photog-

rapher’s creative side, to move away from the

common use of automatic settings, and to see

their subject with a different view. You will

learn how various camera settings and differ-

ent viewpoints can change how an image ap-

pears and have the opportunity to use photo

editing software for more changes. You will

also be able to show off your talent by com-

pleting various photo projects. Please bring

a digital camera of your choice, prefera-

bly a DLSR.

CROCHET Instructor: Stephanie Smith

Don't worry if you don't know one end of the

hook from the other! We are all learning!

Learn all the basic stitches including chain,

single, double and triple crochet. We will also

learn how to increase, decrease, and read a

pattern. Handouts will be given so you may

practice at home. Please bring a size H

(two-step, swing, and waltz) will be reviewed

termediate dance techniques and pattern

WIRING FOR WOMEN Instructor: Steven Mills

FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE Instructor: Amber Ballenger

This Ladies-Only class is designed to provide

woman with a basic understanding of how to

safely handle, function and shoot a firearm.

Perfect for new or novice shooters, this is a

low-stress, fun-oriented course that is taught

by a certified woman instructor. Following a

classroom lecture covering a variety of topics,

students will participate in “dry” drills where

they learn to safely handle and operate a fire-

arm. Class will cover types of firearms & am-

munition, safety, marksmanship, firearms main-

tenance, & applicable laws and more.

BASIC OBEDIENCE/HOUSE MANNERS (5 months +)

Time: 6:30—7:15 pm Would you like a dog that is easier to handle and responsive to basic obedience

commands? This class may be just the ticket for you and your dog! This will be a positive,

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE

Time: 7:30—8:15 pm Have you completed a class of basic obedience and want to sharpen up you and your dog’s

skills while learning new exercises and techniques? This class can be customized to you &
