Industrial Welding Program Welding is the most common way of permanently joining metal parts. Through welding, heat is applied to metal pieces, melting and fusing them to form a permanent bond. There are a variety of welding pro- cess including stick, MIG and TIG. The Industrial Weld- ing Program at Kellogg Community College prepares students to weld a variety of metals in various posi- tions using each of these processes. Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration ProgramHeating and air-conditioning systems control the temperature, humidity, and the total air quality in res-idential, commercial, industrial, and other buildings while refrigeration systems make it possible to store perishable items. The Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Program at Kellogg Community College prepares students to install, maintain, and repair these systems.

Industrial Machining Technology ProgramNearly every sector of the manufacturing industry is dependent upon people with specialized machining technology training including automotive, aerospace, medical supply, furniture, metals/metal products, plastics, machinery, and even the newly developing renewable energy sector. These people work with designers to make fixtures, dies, molds and other parts which support the manufacturing process. The Industrial Machining Technology Program at Kel-logg Community College prepares students to make these parts.

Industrial Pipefitting ProgramHigh-pressure and low-pressure piping systems are used in manufacturing, in the generation of electric-ity, and in the heating and cooling of buildings. Many of these systems are regulated by automatic controls, which may be accessed remotely.
