    Local Communities are invited to attend freeinformation sessions on increasing biodiversity andencouraging wildlife in their local area. In addition totwo day-time practical sessions, Evening Seminars are

    run over two nights at each venue. Seminars willinclude case study visits to local wildlife areas and lotsof practical advice.

    Who should attend:Local Community Groups and DevelopmentAssociations, Tidy Towns Committees, Rural SocialScheme Participants, FS Employees, Local AuthorityStaff, Local Biodiversity Enthusiasts, and anyone withan interest in increasing the wildlife value of their localtown or village.

    Aims & ObjectivesThe main aims of the project are:

    To increase the level of knowledge available tocommunity groups and employment schemes inrelation to understanding and managingbiodiversity in their local areaTo ensure that biodiversity is to the fore whenplanning local projects in the futureTo assist groups in assessing the level of skills andknowledge already available and establish whereadditional skills and training are required
