Communitas
“cor ad cor loquitur” The Newman Catholic Center includes the students, faculty and staff at the University of Massachusetts and extended community. Empowered by the Spirit and inspired by John Henry Newman’s motto: “Heart speaks to Heart” we explore, believe and reach out inclusively to make Jesus Christ present to all who share their journey with us.
First Reading: Genesis 2:18-24. The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner for him.”
Psalm 128 May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives.
2nd Reading: Hebrews 2:9-11. He is not ashamed to call them “brothers.”
Gospel: Mark 10:2-16. What God has joined to-gether, no human being must separate.

Monsignor Quixote, by Graham Greene October 7th, 7:30pm. Fr. Quigley Room In this later novel by Graham Greene the author continues to explore moral and theological dilem-mas through psychologically astute character stud-ies and exciting drama on an international stage.
The title character of Monsignor Quixote is a village priest, elevated to the rank of monsignor through a clerical error, who travels to Madrid accompanied by his best friend San-cho, in Greene’s lighthearted variation on Cervantes.
