    Flight crew interfaces are used by the flight crewfor audio interface with the AMU.

    Interfaces:

    1- Headset: It is used for both talking and listening. To talk you

    must press PTT (Press TO Talk) on either the controlcolumn or the ACP to make the Mic on.

    The service interphone operates automatically onground after the L/G is down by 10 seconds.

    If the A/C is on jacks, it is considered as in flight sothere is an override switch to operate the serviceinterphone.

    A service interphone switch connects the amplifierto the handset jacks. In flight, the serviceinterphone switch should be closed (OFF position)to avoid the interference.

    Function: It permits both long range communication (by

    making use of the sky wave phenomena) and shortwave communication (through the direct groundwave) between 2 A/Cs or an A/C and GND station.

    Note:- The CVR works under water by the help of the

    under Water Locator Beacon (ULB) on the CVRface. The ULB begins to sends an ultra sonic wavesof 37.5 KHz which can be sensed to 2000 metersunder water. The CVR sends the waves for 30 daysin a rate = a pulse per second.

    - The area Mic amplifier is found behind the F/Oback.

    Note:- The CVR works under water by the help of the
