Varsity Pitcher on the Holy Cross College Baseball Team
Pitcher for the Boston Braves of the National Baseball League
One of the most important decisions he made as prinicpal was to hire a very young
and as yet, untested Frank Carey as his varsity baseball coach in 1968. As you all
know, this proved to be a very insightful one on Mr. Kenney's part as our baseball
program has gone on to national prominence in the years since.
Mr. Kenney is the staunchest fan of all North Reading sports teams, especiJ,lly
baseball. He faithfully attended all of the Hornets' home games and as many away
games as he could. His support of all athletes was unwavering.
