About UsSouth Carolina Council on Practice Advancement (COPA) is composed of SCATA members from clinical and emerging practices such as healthcare administration/rehab, occupational health and physician practices with the extension of the committee to include ATCs working in the military, performing acts, and public safety.

SC COPA Mission Statement

• The mission of South Carolina Council on Practice Advancement (SC COPA) is to communicate with athletic training professionals in diverse job settings offering additional support for occupation development, compensation, and brand recognition for athletic trainers being skilled health care professionals.

SC COPA Updates From July 2019 - June 2020COPA ATCs in Action

● July 2019 - present

• SC Chairman is on SC State Licensure Task Force; updated COPA Committee during conference calls and its members continually seek ATC support from other Health-Care Professionals outside of SCATA & COPA.

● March 2020-present

• All committee members transitioned to COVID-19 Warriors

● April, 2020

Promoted the COPA ATC on social media and within SC along with thanking and recognizing all COVID-19 Warriors (Spring newsletter) and began spotlighting COPA ATCs throughout the state (SCATA E-blasts). We will continue throughout the year tackling our list of nominees.
