The offer consists of an enhanced programme of talks delivered by expert teaching specialists and trainers in the field, including renowned ELT authors, Carol Read, Mark Ormerod, Donna Shaw, David Spencer, Scott Thornbury and Adrian Underhill on key topics such as creativity, texttext analysis, pronunciation, the Flipped classroom, gamification, the power of storytelling and drama, project-based learning, 21st century skills, to name but a few.

ADRIAN UNDERHILL is series editor of Macmillan Books for Teachers and author of Sound Foundations: Learning and Teaching Pronunciation, and the award winning Sounds App.
CAROL READ has over 30 years’ experience in ELT. Her main specialisation is in early years and primary language teaching. Carol’s publications include award-winning titles such as 500 Activities in the Primary Classroom and Tiger.
LOUISE CONNOLLY is the Head of Educational Consultants and Teacher Training at Macmillan. She also delivers workshops and talks both in Spain and Western Europe.
MARK ORMEROD is co-author of the Primary coursebooks Find Out! (with Donna Shaw), New Tiger (with Carol Read) and most recently Heroes (with Emma Mohamed).
DONNA SHAW is the co-author of a number of ELT primary courses for Macmillan, including New High Five! (2018), Heroes (2017) and Footprints (2010).
ELSPETH POLLOCK has been a teacher and trainer for over 20 years. She is a Cambridge speaking examiner for B1, B2, C1 and C2 and a materials writer for Macmillan.
SOPHIE HEYDEL is a trained actress and theatre facilitator and has been running The Drama Factory (theatre classes for children in English) and The Tale Teller (Theatre shows in English for schools) for over 10 years.
SUSAN DREGER Teacher, teacher trainer currently working at the ‘Departament d’Ensenyament’ in the TAC (technology for learning and knowledge) unit in Barcelona.
CARYS SHANNON is an experienced teacher, trainer and performer with professional credits in theatre and writing as well as over five years’ experience as an ESL teacher.
DAVID SPENCER began writing Secondary courses for Macmillan in 1994. His latest series is Gateway 2nd Edition, a 7-level course designed to prepare teenage students for school-leaving exams and for life after school. Dave has given talks to teachers in over 28 countries.
SCHUYLER HEDSTROM currently co-runs Acting Impact Theatre Company, and has taught English through Theatre for15 years in Madrid. He also works as a freelance teacher trainer for Macmillan.
SCOTT THORNBURY Scott’s writing credits include several award-winning books for teachers on language and methodology, including Uncovering Grammar, Beyond the Sentence, and The New A-Z of ELT (all Macmillan).
FIONA DUNBAR is the Director of ELI, Málaga and she has been teaching, training and managing in ELT for some 25 years, mainly in Andalucía.
JETRO DE CHÂTEAU As a multilingual language teacher and translator and interpreter, Jetro has worked in schools, private academies and companies and has taught courses on public speaking in different parts of Europe.
TROY NAHUMKO has been in ELT for over 15 years, working in such distinct places as Yemen, Azerbaijan, Laos, Libya and Spain as a teacher, teacher trainer, examiner and materials writer.
USOA SOL is a secondary school English teacher and the Head of the English Department at Sant Gregori School in Barcelona. She is particularly interested in the psychology of teenagers and believes in the use of ICT to motivate students and to help them in their learning.
