Examples of collaboration between these universities and the public and private sector include cases where old housing complexes and other buildings underwent large-scale renovation for use as student dormitories or shared housing, or as centers for exchange between local residents, helping to revitalize the area. Promotion of exchanges in the areas of health and welfare and lifelong learning. Closed-down schools will be renovated into facilities for the arts and education to serve as a center to revitalize the community.
