1 I came to the Colloquium as a researcher studying TPEP. My intention was to learn more about the evaluation systemand experience from those who are implementing and living with this system "on the ground". This was accomplished.
3/22/2017 10:26 AM
2 Learned things that I could do in my classroom to benefit my students learning. 3/18/2017 1:38 PM
3 My instructional specialist team is now sharing out with each other so that we can take some of what we learned andembed it in their roles as both coaches and new teacher mentors. We are trying to also be more explicit with theframework as we plan and deliver professional development for teachers in our district.

1 I didn't get anything from the facilitated forum. The questions asked weren't relevant, and I didn't know enough aboutthe panel to know what questions to ask myself.
3/21/2017 7:04 AM
2 The keynoters were enthusiastic. I didn't quite get the connection to using a framework in teacher evaluation to growteaching practice.
3/15/2017 9:11 PM
3 I would have selected different break out sessions after listening to the ignite presentations than the ones I registeredto attend.
3/15/2017 8:56 PM
4 The material Danielson went over, was not any new information that would drive my district's practice forward. 3/15/2017 1:30 PM
5 Loved the Ignite concept to introduce each session. Some presenters could have been better-coached in what thedistinction is between Ignite and a ten minute power point presentation. Loved the job-alike conversations--betweenthat and the Camus presentation, I left with some a-has about what might be falling short in our district's model andapproach to TPEP. The Danielson Group presenter did not anticipate her audience very well. While she framed thepresentation as one that could be replicated for staff (useful)--it was too basic for the level of leadership in the room.
3/15/2017 7:17 AM
6 Love the ignite presentation send offs. We were all able to have a bit of a filter to understand what different membersof our team were going to be attending; helpful with our follow up conversations.
3/14/2017 3:51 PM
7 I enjoyed the ignite and keynote. I think they are good uses of time for motivation / connection, but the forums providethe deeper learning.
3/14/2017 2:45 PM
8 The Danielson Trainer repeated training we have had before. To be honest after the engaging adult learning strategiesimplemented by the districts it was hard to have a much less engaging presentation late in the afternoon. (Everythingelse was super awesome and fun!!!)
3/14/2017 12:09 PM
9 Quality depended more on the expertise/experience of the presenter, more than the structure. 3/14/2017 11:40 AM
10 We are well down the road with TPEP and Danielson understanding. My teammates and I felt the Danielson authorsessions was review of summative and formative assessment with limited new information.
3/14/2017 11:26 AM
11 Last year we had choice after we heard the ignite presentations which was much better. I would have like to haveheard all of the presentations before selecting the forums.
3/14/2017 11:12 AM
12 I really liked the ignite presentations as it helped me decide which breakout to attend. I ended up switching my firstchosen plan.

2 Thank you. It was PD I didn't really know I needed, but was incredibly helpful to my next steps as an instructionalleader. My only lament is that more of my district's "positional authority" did not attend. Unsure what impact myexperience will have.

3 I love the format and opportunity for discussion with like districts. 3/14/2017 4:42 PM
4 Excellent venue for this! 3/14/2017 3:51 PM
5 Some rooms were a little small for the size of the group attending. 3/14/2017 11:40 AM
6 LOVED the location! 3/14/2017 11:13 AM
7 I felt the breakout sessions from districts lasted too long. I did like those that chose a panel discussion so it was moreinteractive than a chalk talk format. The one that did a chalk talk format took way too long to walk around to all theposters. I was ready to just sit and ask questions. And their examples were all Elementary school which made it toughto see how they would work with 150+ students for a high school teacher.
3/14/2017 11:07 AM
8 I thought we were going to get copies of the PowerPoints electronically so that we had the links to get materialsshared by district.... I would appreciate that

1 The best workshop of the day! So thoughtful, well-planned, and well-executed. 3/22/2017 10:27 AM

1 Thinking about structuring learning walks for first and second year teachers Differentiating coaching questions forwhere a teacher is developmentally

2 How TPEP works to benefit our learning and instruction. How it should be a collaboration with the teacher andadministrator.
3/22/2017 9:28 PM
3 General information about TPEP implementation and the impressions teachers and administrators have of TPEP. 3/22/2017 10:29 AM
4 The Medical Lake work provided many ideas regarding the use of data and persistence and leadership that makes asignificant difference. The work that Soap Lake explained will benefit the small district I coach. Hoping that a team canvisit those two sites.
3/21/2017 12:43 PM
5 We got some great ideas about how to plan in advance to support new teachers as a district (create a menu, etc) 3/21/2017 9:12 AM
6 Meeting with Leadership team about the process Camas is using to support administration conversation withteachers.
3/21/2017 8:32 AM

8 TPEP Coordination between administrators and teachers must be much closer and less intense. 3/21/2017 7:48 AM
9 I really liked the Camas approach to working on Learning Focused Conversations. The videos they have created seemlike great learning tools.
3/21/2017 7:04 AM
10 Examples of peer observations Embedding TPEP into faculty meetings 3/19/2017 3:39 PM

13 I learned AMAZING ideas from the Camas presentation. I really appreciated the variety of methods. I also learned afeedback model in my job alike session that I already used.
3/17/2017 11:43 AM
14 How different districts are implementing. What they choose to work on, and not work on, is very revealing. 3/15/2017 9:13 PM
15 The model is a growth plan, and it is about teachers choosing the focus area. 3/15/2017 9:06 PM
16 Ideas for implementation of learning walks, Ideas for leveraging mentor roles in district Use of a "differentiationspecialist" in each building
3/15/2017 2:47 PM
17 I enjoyed the workshop and had good insight into how they started all of their systems from the bottom up. 3/15/2017 1:32 PM
18 connecting TPEP with district-wide student supports/instructional expectations 3/15/2017 12:44 PM

23 A lot! Each of my coaches came back with some different learning. Trying to expand their understanding of theframework and how our work is connected to supporting teachers with it in mind.
3/14/2017 3:54 PM
24 The problems of practice protocol really jump-started my thinking. 3/14/2017 3:32 PM

29 I learned how districts across the state are implementing the teacher evaluation system. This included information onhow formative and summative student learning data is being used to identify what's working well and set the prioritystudent learning goals.
3/14/2017 12:33 PM
30 I loved the idea of having principals practice giving feedback and using learning focussed conversation skills inevaluations.
3/14/2017 12:12 PM
31 The Camas workshop was geared towards working with leaders, but I feel I could easily adapt the same ideas toworking with teachers. It gave me a different, simple lens to look at my work through. This was a big picture lens thatwill allow me to tailor and differentiate the work I do as a coach with our framework.
3/14/2017 12:02 PM
32 That the framework is intended more as a PD model than an evaluative model. 3/14/2017 11:50 AM
33 The observation card from the Sumner team. 3/14/2017 11:42 AM
34 Sumner's overview of how to differentiate coaching with early career teachers made so much sense to our team.Assuming that you begin mentoring with common goals, and then expecting to differentiate is a shift in thinking for me.I've known a shift occurs where I need/want to differentiate, but pre-planning how to facilitate that en masse is aperfect fit.
3/14/2017 11:38 AM
35 The comparison of how different districts use TPEP. The validation that many districts struggle with the same things. 3/14/2017 11:29 AM

3 Yes! As we continue to collect data and develop our claims about the implementation and experience of TPEP acrossthe state, it would be great to think about this topics with participants like those attending the Colloquium.

1 The last session on Danielson wasn't as helpful or useful. She kept telling us we knew this already--which was true--itwould be nice if we were presented with something new about the framework or any new thinking the authors nowhave vs. looking at what has already been out for a long time.

3 I'm especially interested in how districts are using TPEP alongside their beginning teacher induction programs (likeTacoma). This seems like a very fruitful avenue of work to continue supporting and investigating.

9 This would be a wonderful to offer it to teachers in their first few year of teaching. I have been teaching for 15 year (4in WA) and I learned a lot. I feel like newer teachers would benefit from this tremendously.

11 The framework presentation wasn't as beneficial to me. It felt like an introductory experience rather than somethingrelated to assessment (the impression I was under). If the same presentation was give but titled with somethingrelated to introductory, I would have went to learn about a different one instead.
3/17/2017 11:43 AM
12 You have a strong format developed. The content is solid. I think the next step is to push the content more. 3/15/2017 9:13 PM
13 Perhaps more people could attend. 3/15/2017 9:06 PM
14 A little more intentional (structured?) district planning time might have been nice mid-day, but I realize not all districtshad teams present.

28 I didn't like having to choose a session before hearing the ignite presentation from each district. My choices changedwhen I heard the presentations
3/14/2017 12:02 PM
29 More robust. I would up the game to include better keynote, more content, more dynamic. No discredit to what thiswas, but it could go up a notch with more presentations to choose from.

30 A focus on equity? 3/14/2017 11:42 AM
31 It felt like he morning was more dynamic than the afternoon, and not just because it followed lunch. There seemed tobe content overlap between Soap Lake and Medical Lake, so participants felt confused on which they chose or shouldchoose. Also, if there was a way to hear the Ignite prior to choosing sessions that would be helpful. I felt like afterhearing them I'd like to change sessions and felt conflicted to do so.

14 I found the keynote to be purely brain candy. The two speakers were wonderfully animated, and are no doubt fantasticteachers, but I came away with nothing but a sugar high that did nothing to further my understanding of TPEP orinstruction.
3/14/2017 11:50 AM
15 In this case, how did they day feed your TPEP goals individually. Could sessions themselves have been introduced aswhat participants could cite as criteria they were developing that day, and what steps would they take to continue? Myanswer would have been (as a TOSA, who isn't evaluated with TPEP yet because of bargaining constraints) that if Iwere to consider the teacher leaders I'm developing as my "students," I would be differentiating to develop their self-driven learning targets as teacher leaders, so Criteria 2b, 2e, & 3a (Danielson)
