College of Business Undergraduate Transfer Evaluation Guidelines

IWC1 Literature, Arts and the Humanities 2

Two courses, equivalent to 4 units, in the humanities (i.e. literature, visual and performing arts, music, theatre, philosophy, ethics or religious studies). Partial credit is accepted for this area: IWC1 must be transferred or satisfied by degree before IWT1 can be transferred. *Can be satisfied by an AS, AA, BA, or BS degree. Cannot be filled by an AAS degree.

IWT1 Literature, Arts and the Humanities: Analysis and Interpretation

BVC1 Geography *BVC1 is not a required assessment in the BS Accounting program.

One course in geography. *BVC1 may be satisfied by a course in social sciences (i.e. history, anthropology, sociology, psychology, economics or political science). *Can be satisfied by an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.

BWC1 Behavioral Science *BWC1 is a required assessment in the Human Resources and Sales Management programs only.

3 One course, equivalent to 3 units, in the behavioral sciences (anthropology, psychology or sociology). *Can be satisfied by an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.

Accounting and Information Technology CODE ASSESSMENT CU REQUIREMENT FOR TRANSFER

VYC1 Accounting Principles I 4

One course (3 CU’s) in Accounting Principles I, Financial Accounting I or Intermediate Accounting I. Course must be based upon Financial Accounting principles for transfer credit. *Can also be met by an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business.

CZC1 Accounting Principles II *CZC1 is required only for BS-Accounting program.

One course (3 CU’s) in Accounting Principles II, Financial Accounting II or Intermediate Accounting II. Course must be based upon Financial Accounting principles for transfer credit.

UFC1 Managerial Accounting 3

One course (3 CU’s) in Managerial Accounting or Cost Accounting. Course must be based upon Managerial Accounting principles for transfer credit.

DAC1 Information Systems Management 3

One course (3 CU’s) in Information Systems Management. Course must cover how businesses use computers to: solve business problems, create strategic advantage or help organizational decision makers. Cannot be covered by a computer literacy course. *Can also be met by an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business

EZC1 Finance 3 One course, equivalent to 3 units, in Business Finance. Cannot be satisfied by a Personal Finance class.

VZT1 Marketing Principles and Applications *VZT1 is not required in the BS-Accounting program.

Either two courses (6 units total) in quantitative analysis for business, management science or decision analysis or one course in operations management and one course in quantitative analysis for business or business statistics**. **Business Statistics courses must be beyond the introductory level.

FPC1 Microeconomics 3 Can be satisfied by one course, equivalent to 3 CU’s, in Microeconomics. *FPC1 can be satisfied by an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

EAV1 IT Fundamentals II *EAV1 is a required assessment in the BS Business - IT Management program only.

AXV1 and CPV1 must transfer in together. EAV1 and EBV1 must be transferred together. *This requirement can be satisfied by an Associate degree or higher in Information Technology received within the last 5 years. *Certificates must have been received within the last 5 years

EBV1 IT Fundamentals III *EBV1 is a required assessment in the BS Business - IT Management program only.

One course in Computer Operating Systems OR one of the following Certifications: CompTIA A+ (220-702 or 220-602 or 220-603 or 220-604) or certification in one of the following areas: Linux+ (if not used for CSV1), PDI+, MCSA (2003), MCSA (2008/2012), MCSE, MCDST, MCSD, MCA Messaging Program, MCITP Consumer, MCITP Enterprise Support or Administrator, MCITP Server Administrator, Sun Certified System Administratior (SCSA), Oracle Linux Administrator EAV1 and EBV1 must be transferred together. *This requirement can be satisfied by an Associate degree or higher in Information Technology for this program. *Certificates must have been received within the last 5 years
