Presentation1. Introduce the collective nouns for the realia shown. 2. Present four collective nouns.3. Explain each of the nouns by drawing or translation. 4. Pupils are asked to do Exercise A, question No.1-5, page 17, on their grammar exercise book. A pack of cards A bundle of pens A litter of puppies A chest of drawers A choir of singers A group of islands To provide input of collective nouns through drilling.
Practice1. Present four collective nouns.2. Explain each of the nouns by drawing or translation. 3. Pupils are asked to do Exercise A, question No.6-10, page 17&18, on their grammar exercise book. Production1. Pupils are divided into pairs; A & B.2. All of the pupils are given different sentence strips. 3. The sentence strips given to Pair A pupils matches the sentence strips given to Pair B pupils. So pupils are to find their correct partner. Sentence strips (Noun phrase/ collective nouns) To provide opportunity for the pupils to apply their knowledge.
Closure1. Pupils present their matched sentence strips (collective nouns) with their partner. Sentence strips (Noun phrase/ collective nouns) To recap the collective nouns they learned.
