Our Mission

Principal ’s Reflection

The École St. Norbert Immersion Community Report only provides a small glimpse of all the activity that has gone on inside and outside the walls of the school throughout the 2018-2019 school year. For a K-8 school, we have a considerable variety of learning, cultural and sporting activities to enrich our students’ school life and experiences. From an academic perspective, literacy, numeracy and effective communication (in French and English) have been, and will continue to be the focus of the school community’s efforts. Professional development and teaching strategies that increase students learning are of prime im-portance. Student achievement is at the heart of everything we do. Cultural and learning activities continue to support our aim of providing a quality French Immersion education to our students. Inclusion, outdoor & cultural education, the Arts and social justice are all strongly valued at ESNI. Whether in the community or in the school, our students’ actions throughout the year are reflective of these values. This spirit of collaboration extends to the partnership the school has with the St. Norbert Immersion Advisory Council. This active Parent Advisory Council always complements and supports the school initiatives. In closing, all the successes we have experienced throughout the school year are dependent on many people. The St. Norbert immersion school community is vibrant and has a positive school culture. Thank you to students, parents, family, friends, staff and community members who have contributed to the successes of 2018-2019.
