  • 1. CODES & CONVENTIONS A radio advert can range from 15 to 60 seconds but the average running time is around 30 seconds. It will tell you the qualities of the product and the vital information that will make the consumer want to know more about the product. Often contains a music bed or jingle over the top to make the advert memorable. Contains a voiceover that expresses the key facts that are needed throughout. May contain extracts from the documentary to let the consumer know what the product is like. The voiceover is often a female voice, but can be a male. (Click to hear example)

2. CODES & CONVENTIONS The advert will contain a tagline for the product The language use will be tailored to demographic. The mode of address will be directly to the audience. Music is rarely copyrighted. The voiceover will be upbeat and lively to attract attention and typically uses an English accent an will speak very clearly for audibility.
