I, ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR OPTING PHYSICAL EDUCATION

.The fotl.owing category of students shall be permitted to opt for the physicat Education:

. Those granted permission to join the course should be medicatl.y fit to fotlow the Physicat Educationcurricutum, theory and practicat, prescribed by the Board.

. Those who have rePresented the school in the Inter School Sports and Games competitions in anygame,

. The student shoutd undergo the prescribed physicat fitness test and secure a minimum of 40% score.

II. CONDITIONS FOR GRANTING AFFILIATION TO SCHOOLS FOR OFFERING PHYSICALEDUCATION AS AN ELECTIVE SUBJECT

Only those schools satisfying the following conditions wilt be permitted to offer Physical Education as acourse of study at +2 stage as an etective subject:

(i) The schoot shoutd have adequate open space to accommdate at least 200 M track and ptay fietdsfor minimum three games/sports.

(ii) The teacher handting the el.ectiye programme of Physicat Education should hotd a lylaster! Degree inPhysicaI Education.

(iii) The schoot shoutd ptoYide adequate funds for Physicat Education and Heatth Education for purchaseof equipment, books on Physical. Education and also for the maintenance of soorts facil.jties.
