Introduction
The COBIT®5 Implementation Certifi cate is a Practitioner Level Training Course that focuses on how to apply
COBIT®5 (The Framework and Enabling Process Guides) and how to analyse the results. COBIT®5 is the
overarching business framework for the governance and management of enterprise IT. It is a comprehensive
framework of globally accepted practices that helps enterprise leaders create optimal value from information
and technology by maintaining balance amongst benefi ts and optmising risk levels and resource use. COBIT®5
provides the structure and tools needed to deliver trust and value, manage risk, avoid potential embarrassment
and maximize opportunities.
The COBIT®5 Implementation Guide provides the main guidance for a practical approach to implementing the
Governance of Enterprise IT (GEIT) based on a continual improvement life cycle that should be tailored to suit
an enterprise’s specifi c needs.

Course Prerequisite
• Successful completion of the COBIT®5 Foundation Exam
• It is a mandatory requirement for all candidates to have passed the COBIT®5 Foundation Exam for applying
for and attending the COBIT®5 Implementation Course. Foundation level knowledge and understanding will
not be repeated in the course

EGIT trainers are accredited, qualifi ed trainers with indepth industry national and international exerience in
the governance and management of enteprise IT, Business, main stream IT, Assurance, Governance, Risk and
Security. They are acknowledged COBIT®5 subject matter expects (SMEs’), CIAs’, CIRMAs’, CISAs’, CISMs’,
CGEITs’, CRISCs’, CISSPs’ and MBA’s. Some have participated in various COBIT®5 development workshops
and are constantly involved in the development of numerous white papers in the governance, assurance, risk
and security of emerging technologies such as Mobility, Social Media, Cyber Security, Bring Your Own Device,
Cloud Computing and Big Data.
The COBIT®5 Implementation Examination
The practitioner level examines learning levels 3 (application) and 4 (analysis).
This is a 2.5-hour scenario based objective test examination. The exam con-
sists of 4 questions worth 20 marks, giving a maximum of 80 marks. The pass
mark is 50% (40 marks). The syllabus area to which each question refers is
clearly stated within the question.
Reference Material
Delegates may only reference to their own copy of the COBIT®5
Implementation Guide during the examination. No other additional support
material is permitted.

Terms and Conditions
All delegates are required to fully pay for the course pnor to attending. Where evidence of payment cannot be
shown EGIT reserves the right to refuse admission.
If due to unforeseen circumstances you cannot make it to the master class you have several options (the
options below need to be received in writing):
1. You may send a substitute delegate in your place 3 days before the course. Please email the new delegate
details to [email protected] for registration purposes. No additional charges will be paid for substitutions.
No substitutions will be accepted 2 days before the course.
2. You may transfer at no extra charge to another course, provided you do so in writing at least 10 working days
before the course registered for. Transfers within the 10 working days will be charged an administration fee
of 50% of the paid fee.
3. You may cancel your registration in writing 10 working days before the start day of the course. Cancellations
within 10 days from the course starting date will result in forfeit of the full fee.
4. There is no refund or credit to delegates who do not attend without giving prior notice as per above.
5. Registrations received during the 10 working days before the event date, will not be excluded from the above
terms & conditions.
6. EGIT reserves the right to change the venue or the date of the course; delegates will be notifi ed no less than
3 working days prior to an event. Should the event be postponed, delegates have the option to attend the
next available date of the course. The registration fee will be credited on delegate accounts.
