1981/on goingGraduated at “Roma Tre” University, with a thesis on the reuse and restore

of an archeological site, she collaborates since 2008 with 2A+P/A as project leader, and at the same time she carries on her own architectural research

through indipendent competitions and works.She think herself as an architect in the wider possible way, including, both-practical architecture and theoretical research, and thinking as architecture

as an indipendent discipline that involves also art, society, environment, economics and much more.

During these years she had the possibility to work with several other offices, architects and artists as: Carla Accardi, Andrea Branzi (Archizoom associated), Boeri studio, Ian+, Ma0, Office KGDVS, Paolo Frassinelli (Superstudio founder),

Salottobuono, TSpoon, and to partecipate to exhibitions as the XI and XIII Architecture Biennale of Venice and editing initiatives as San Rocco Magazine.

The project divides the two stories of the building functionally and ideally. The ground floor, dedicated to the children is based on empty walls to contain facilities and service rooms, while the first floor’s boxes run along the perpen-dicolar axis. Finally the rooftop is a terrace conceived as a playful plate, where

devices are integrated as an abstract composition.

2N HOUSE [Rome, Italy]

Refurbishment of a private house in Rome. This house for a young couple is based on the preservation of the original materials and proportion of the house. The 1920’s floor was combined with reach materials such us ancient marble for the kitchen top, or the bathroom. The house was conceived en-

tirely on the duality between modern functions and vintage allure.

STAVECO [Bologna, Italy]

Feasibility study for an abandoned military area in the center of Bologna that has to be renovated and transformed in a campus fo the University. The idea is to demolish all the non-original addition and add some wooden walls to

distribute all the new function, while a glazed layer manage the access from the courtyard.

BRIGHTSHADE [Vila Viçosa, Portugal]

Europan 12 competition. The project preserves the industrial character of the site, reusing some elements. The new building planned takes the shape of a big roof. In its depth the new common functions are host. The raising of the

building allows watching the horizontality of the landscape from a new, high point of view. In the meanwhile the ground beneath the roof is completely

released, and create an open, protected, polifunctional space.

PUPPET THEATER [Rome, Italy]

A small theather for puppets occupied a parking lot for a day. Three chapters from Pinocchio were staged in this little temporary public

space for children.

MARIA GRAZIA CUTULI SCHOOL [Herat, Afghanistan]

The school, near Herat, was realised in memory of an italian journalist killed in Afghanistan. The building is comprised of a boundary line formed by a seemingly random arrangement of modules. It hosts eight classrooms, a

double-height library, a secretarial office, staffrooms and a caretaker’s house. Both external and internal spaces contribute to the shaping of the educa-

tional environment.

BRICKS [Spoleto, Italy]

The building is located in a new public space infrotn of Spoleto train station. The project have a strong fromal characterization: two brick slopes divide the

building on the longitudinal axis. The facades opening towards the public space are protected by a perforated brick shell, coloured with the shades of

the Spoleto’s coutryside.

HOUSE OF MEMORY [Milan, Italy]

This project represents the overlap of several functional levels designed to al-low the life of the city to permeate it completely. It is a naked white structure

in which a mechanical staircase joins all of the floors, thereby connecting a sequence of public spaces inside the building, from the ground floor to the

exhibition floor to the panoramic terrace.

ART WOOD [Maribor, Slovenia]

The project was designed to experiment with the possibilities of intermin-gling the activities of the new museum with the life of the city. The structure

of the museum is conceived as a territorial device, or organizer of urban space. A forest of pillars invades the urban void, towering over all of the pre-

existing elements and delineating a public space roofed with a large transpar-ent ceiling.
