CNC Machinist/Operator/Set up/ Programmer Connecticut/Massachusetts We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate and perform edits for CNC machining centers. Position Summary and Special Duties: As a (an) CNC Machinist you’ll be responsible for set up on CNC multi axis Turret Lathe and Swiss machine centers. Role and Responsibilities: CNC machinist will Set-up, adjust and edit programs for CNC Swiss Machines. Creating a setup sheet, tool list, and picture library of the machined part for all employees to access and use for future operations. Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Make recommendation for trying new tooling, adjust tools and replace as needed. Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blue prints for parts being run (including geometric tolerance). This includes understanding of dimensions and tolerances of finished parts. JOB REQUIREMENTS Skills/Abilities/Competencies: CNC Machinist must be able to set up new parts following blue print instructions. Optimize machine to ensure daily goals and production is met. Understand how to read, write and edit G & M Codes.

Understand how to read, write and edit G & M Codes. Understand tooling requirements to set-up and operate machines in the department, including

select and align tooling, fixtures and attachments for machining. Touch off tools and make offsets. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently with little

(if any) guidance from lead to avoid downtime of machines. Ability to perform a sequence of operations without supervision and consistently maintain the

performance levels set for quality and quantity.
