I do try and balance the numbers exiting with the new enrolments. Across the school we have a very slight predominance of boys from Years Prep to 4 for next year, and this is more apparent at Years 5 and 6. We are currently exploring options with the grade structure and of course considering classrooms. This year we have 28 classes and I anticipate we will have the same number for 2015. Payment of School fees for 2015

Invoices were distributed earlier this term regarding payments for fees and books for 2015. My sincere thanks

go to the parents who have responded promptly with payments already. Our intention is to have all payments

received by the end of November so the 2015 school year can commence smoothly. Your cooperation in

making the payments would be greatly appreciated.

World Teachers’ Day

Celebrated in over 100 countries, World Teachers' Day acknowledges the efforts of teachers in an increasingly

complex, multicultural and technological society. It is a day on which students, parents and community

members can demonstrate their appreciation for the contributions that teachers have made to their community.

My sincere thanks go to the numerous parents who prepared a scrumptious morning tea for the staff on Friday

of last week. The tables were covered in some wonderful and very tempting culinary delights. Staff left with

appetites sated and a need to do some serious jogging!

Organisation for 2015

Our predicted enrolments for 2015 are shown below:

Foundation/Prep: 105

Year 1: 109

Year 2: 106

Year 3: 75

Year 4: 91

Year 5: 93

Year 6: 73

Total: 652

We have 12 new students enrolling in 2015 from Years 1 to 5 and 14 students exiting. I do try and balance the

numbers exiting with the new enrolments. Across the school we have a very slight predominance of boys from

Years Prep to 4 for next year, and this is more apparent at Years 5 and 6.

We are currently exploring options with the grade structure and of course considering classrooms. This year

we have 28 classes and I anticipate we will have the same number for 2015.

Teachers resuming from leave include: Bec Redwood, Kelly Shoppee and Michelle Olerhead-Griffiths.

Teachers taking leave in 2015 include: Fallon Page-Levett commencing late February.

Teachers remaining on leave during 2015 include: Helen Mamos, Karen Riley, Sally Jacka, Beck Watkins,

Jess Gazzo, Alison Powell and Cassie Humphreys. We have completed the first round of staff selection

involving 12 month contract positions for 2015.

December Reports to be Distributed

Electronically

In an effort to provide school reports in a more

useful format and in response to parental requests,

we have decided to trial sending reports home

electronically. We will begin with the December

Reports this year. Individual student reports will be

sent to parents via email, in PDF format.

“Update Details Forms” were sent home in second

term this year asking parents to update any changes

in personal details. If your email has changed since

then, please ensure you let the school know as

soon as possible so we have your correct details. Reports will be emailed home during the last week

of term. Parents who are unable to access an

electronic copy are requested to inform the school

office.
