• Courses are college-level and are extremely challenging.
• Courses culminate in mandatory AP exams. Scores range from 1-5.

Career Ed – Important Dates
• Wednesday, November 19 - Career Ed EXPO at NHP (Students only)
• Thursday, December 4 - Career Ed Informational Night at SHS (Parents and Students)
• Friday December 5 – Career Ed applications available in Guidance
• Friday January 30 – Deadline to return Career Ed applications to Guidance
Junior Honor Society
Students become eligible for membership in the Junior National Honor Society upon accumulation of:
• A grade point average of 90 or higher by the end of the third marking period, in 8th, 9th or 10th grade.
• A faculty committee will review the application for academic, service, leadership and teacher recommendation for each candidate.
Scholar Incentive Medals
• Points are accumulated from grades 9-12 based on Honor Rolls
• High Honor Roll = 2 points• Honor Roll = 1 point• Principal’s List = 0 points
• Highest medal earned will be awarded to student during the spring of senior year
