ACT PREP (5 sessions)FOR GIRLS AND BOYS IN GRADES 11TH - 12TH

This class provides comprehensive reviews of math, science and verbal skills necessary for taking the ACT. Students also learn test taking strategies and complete practice tests during the class. All materials and practice tests provided.

Instructors: Lynda Lyttle (Math) Marilou Mulrooney (Verbal) Judy Brundige (Science)

September Schedule: 2 Saturdays September 24th and October 1 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

November Schedule: 2 Saturdays November 5th, 12th 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

January Schedule: 2 Saturdays January 7th, 14th 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

March/April Schedule: 2 Saturdays March 25th and April 1st 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

May Schedule: 2 Saturdays May 13th, 20th 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $250 per session

ACT ESSAY PREP (2 sessions)FOR GIRLS AND BOYS IN GRADES 11TH - 12TH

Many colleges are now requiring the writing section of the ACT, and with only 40 minutes to write the essay, preparation and practice are key. Students will learn essay writing strategies and complete practice essays during the class. In addition to the in-class instruction, all participants will receive one additional opportunity to get feedback from the instructors after the class is over; the instructors will provide a prompt for students to complete at home and then email for feedback and scoring. All materials provided.

Sunday, November 13th | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, January 8th | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $125 per session

PSAT PREPFOR GIRLS AND BOYS IN GRADES 10TH - 11TH

Math

This class provides practice for taking the PSAT with an emphasis on refreshing algebra and geometry skills using word problems and data interpretation; test-taking techniques are explored and actual PSATs will be given. All materials for this class are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.

Verbal

This class provides practice for all parts of the verbal PSAT including sentence completion, critical reading, and grammar. Students use actual PSATs to familiarize themselves with the format and the content of the test; preliminary diagnostic and final PSATs will measure each student’s progress. All materials for this class are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.
