PRINCIPIO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
• Los multivibradores monoestables poseen un único estado estable.
• Se mantienen normalmente en su estado estable y cambian a su estado monoestable cuando se disparan.
• Luego del disparo, el estado inestable se mantiene por un determinado período de tiempo, regresando a su estado estable.
• El tiempo que permanece en el estado inestable se llama anchura de pulso tw.

MULTIVIBRADORES MONOESTABLESEn condiciones normales, el condensador se encuentra descargado y la salida del 7404 se encuentra en nivel bajo. Cuando se introduce un pulso en SW1 (A nivel alto), se produce un camino a tierra mediante la compuerta NOR, cuya salida actúa como vertedero de corriente, lo que permite iniciar una carga del condensador; en este momento, el 7404, considera cualquier voltaje por debajo de aproximadamente 2 a 2,5v como un cero lógico e invierte su valor y pone la salida a uno, una vez que el condensador se haya cargado, el 7404 invertirá el valor y la salida pasará a valer 0 nuevamente.
