ST85110072-2 ADDENDUM NO. 1 ISSUE DATE: April 6, 2018 Bidders are hereby notified that the Bidding and Contract Documents for the above project, for which Bids are to be received on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, are amended as follows: SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS 102.4 EXAMINATION OF PLANS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND SITE OF WORK, Add the following to Subsection 102.4 The accompanying Drainage Memorandum as furnished by the Contracting Agency is furnished for general information only. The field condition so set forth shall not constitute a representation or warranty expressed or implied that such conditions are actually existent. Bidders shall make their own investigations and form their own estimates of the site conditions. 107 LEGAL REGULATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PUBLIC, Add the following to Subsection 107.10, CONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK It is the Contractor’s responsibility to make provisions for the removal and/or control of storm water, surface water, channel water and water infiltrating into the site during construction. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor and materials to keep excavations free from water during construction and shall dewater and dispose of the water in a timely manner so as not to cause injury to the public. The Contractor shall develop a storm water management plan for submission to the Engineer outlining the procedures the Contractor proposes to use in the control and disposal of storm water, surface water, channel water or infiltrating water that falls on or flows into the work site. The plan shall include measures to prevent damage to surrounding properties. Until final written acceptance of the project by the Engineer, the Contractor shall have the charge and care thereof and shall take every precaution against injury or damage to any part thereof by the action of the elements or from any other cause, whether arising from the execution or from the non-execution of the work. The Contractor shall rebuild, repair, restore and make good all injuries or damages to any portion of the work occasioned by any of the above causes before final acceptance and shall bear the expense thereof. No additional payment will be made for development of the storm water management plan, or for any work related to management of storm water, surface water, channel water and water infiltrating into the site during construction.
