This plan meets the requirements under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-
19) Act, 2020.
This COVID-19 Safety Plan is a document that outlines how the City of Cambridge keeps
employees and other people safe at the workplaces during the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-
19 pandemic is an evolving situation and the City of Cambridge reviews the safety plans regularly
and will make changes as required.
To ensure the procedures are up to date the City of Cambridge reviews and monitors the Province
of Ontario and Ministry of Health guidance and update as required.
COVID-19 Procedure and Response Review
The Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) was activated to manage the response to COVID-19.
There are multiple Task Forces who support the EOC and continually review and update SOP,
Safety Plans and other related documents as required. The EOC and Task Forces continually
monitor the situation and the Province of Ontario and Ministry of Health guidance and updates
procedures and documentation as required.
The City of Cambridge developed a COVID-19 Operations Recovery Plan. The Plan outlines the
approval/review processes and operations recovery strategies that will support the respond and
recovery activities COVID-19 emergency.
All of COVID-19 related documentation is posted on the intranet (internal website) for
employees to access and review. Organizational Development generates and assigns employees
all COVID-19 related training as required.
Public Communication/Public Education
Check before you Rec was implemented to provide information on guidelines for individuals to
check prior to entering recreation facility. This information is posted on the City of Cambridge
Website. Click here for more information.
Employee Communication
When required, manager/supervisor meetings are schedule to provide information and updates. It
is the responsibility for the manager/supervisor to relay the information to their staff.
There is a weekly staff communique provided through the City Manager as well as staff
communique provided as required through the EOC Commander.

Physical Distance Requirements
Physical distancing signage is posted throughout the building to maintain a 2 meter distance
unless posted otherwise.
The City of Cambridge has enacted the following physical distancing protocols as required by
the Rules for Areas in Stage 3 (O. Reg 364/20 under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible
Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020).
Fitness and Weight and Exercise Machines
Yellow Zone
Every person in areas of the facility containing weights or exercise machines and every
person participating in a fitness or exercise class must maintain a physical distance of at least
3 metres from each other. The capacity for these areas will not exceed 10 people or the capacity
will be limited to the ability to maintain 3 metres distance between individuals, whichever is less.
Each indoor fitness/exercise class will take place in a separate room.
Orange Zone
Every person in areas of the facility containing weights or exercise machines and every
person participating in a fitness or exercise class must maintain a physical distance of at least
3 metres from each other. The capacity for these areas will not exceed 10 people or the capacity
will be limited to the ability to maintain 3 metres distance between individuals, whichever is less

of members of the public permitted to be indoors at the facility in all classes, organized programs
or organized activities together with the total number of members of the public in all areas
containing weights or exercise machines cannot exceed 50 people.
Sports Played in the Facility
Sports may only be practised or played within the facility if they do not allow for physical
contact between players or if they have been modified to avoid physical contact between the
players.
Employees
Employees Physical Distancing
The City of Cambridge has a Physical Distancing Measures Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP). This SOP applies to city employees and has implemented procedures to protect
employees while they continue to conduct essential work for the community during pandemic
crises caused by bacterial or viral outbreaks. It defines specific physical distancing expectations
and provides guidance and methods for staff to meet these expectations while continuing to
provide essential services.
Vehicles with Multiple Occupants
The City of Cambridge has a Vehicles with Multiple Occupants Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP). This SOP addresses the process to be followed when vehicle occupancy is greater than
one is required.

Transmission Control Mechanism
The City of Cambridge developed a COVID-19 Operations Recovery Plan. The plan outlines the
processes and approvals required to ensure a safe workplace for employees and a safe facility for
the public to attend.
Facility Reopening & COVID-19 Facility Plan
The Facility Task Force and Facilities performed a facility reopening audit and developed a
facility plan prior to the facility being opened. The Facility Plan has been prepared to provide
direction on the facility protocols approved and enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Facility Modifications
City facilities have been outfitted with a number of modifications to support safety protocols.
City Hall Public Counters
At City Hall all public counters were consolidated to the main floor to limited public access to
employee’s areas.
Staff & Public Facility Access (Entrance/Exit)
Entry and exit only locations have been identified where possible and signage posted. Separate
staff and public entrances have been identified where possible and signage posted.
Pedestrian Traffic
One way pedestrian traffic directional flow has been identified where possible and floor decals or
signage is posted within City facility.
At any public entrances please wait here signage is posted at City facilities (inside and outside)
to ensure physical distancing is maintained while waiting in line.
Plexiglass Installation
There has been plexiglass installed at public counters and employee workspace as required.
Maximum Occupancies
Within City facilities reduced occupancy has been identified to support physical distancing as
outlined in the Physical Distancing SOP. There is signage posted within the identified area and
staff and public are asked to confirm the occupancy in the room and adhere to the reduced
numbers. Washrooms have a maximum capacity posted in the entry way.
Meeting and Training Rooms
The City has either placed signage over the chairs that are not to be used or removed and left
only the number of chairs that meets the room occupancy as well as the physical distancing
requirements.
Building Ventilation
The City has undertaken increased measures of manually increasing percentage of outdoor fresh
air, humidity levels, changing filters and building flushing to enhance air ventilation in City
buildings.

Camps
The City of Cambridge has limited the running of camps to locations that are restricted to the
general public.
Other
Reopening Cemeteries Administration Office during COVID-19 Pandemic
The City of Cambridge has a Re-opening and Return of Program Services for the Cemeteries
Administration Office during COVID-19 Pandemic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The
purpose of the SOP is to protect the safety of the families we serve and our staff during the
COVID-19 pandemic and continue to provide the cemetery services that the community requires.
Recreation - Medication Administration During COVID-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Recreation - Medication Administration During COVID-19
Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP outlines the role of staff during
administration of medication during camp programs including ensuring that the parent/guardian
has completed the appropriate documentation prior to camp.
Aquatic - Pool and Spa Water Chemistry During Covid-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Pool and Spa Water Chemistry During Covid-19 Management
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP applies to all City of Cambridge employees
designated as an owner/operator or responsible for the operation of a City of Cambridge pool or
spa. The purpose of the SOP is to ensure the management of safe water in swimming pools,
operators must ensure water readings that do not fall within the range set by the Regulation or
COVID-19 Guidelines.
Employees
Workspaces
Facilities performed an audit on all employee workspaces and installed plexiglass between
workspaces where there were no barriers currently in place. If installing plexiglass was not
possible the City made provisions for staggered seating arrangements to ensure a 2 meter
distance between workspaces.
Infection Control
The City of Cambridge has implemented COVID-19 infection control processes required to
ensure a safe workplace for employees and a safe facility for the public to attend.
Help stop the spread of germs signage is posted at City facilities.
Physical distancing signage is posted throughout the building to maintain a 2 meter distance
unless posted otherwise.
Hand Washing
In the washroom, signage outlining recommended handwashing techniques has been posted.
There is soap available and the washrooms are being cleaned regularly, using enhanced cleaning
protocols.

Hand sanitize signage is posted throughout City facilities at each hand sanitizing station.
Aquatics - Safety Supervision for Infection Control During COVID-19 Management The City of Cambridge has a Safety Supervision for Infection Control During COVID-19
Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP to ensure the risk of
cross contamination can be minimized between employees and customers in instructional and
recreational swim while maintaining safety supervision as outlined by the Lifesaving Society.
Splashpad Operation
The City of Cambridge has a Splashpad Operation Procedure for COVID-19 Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to ensure all staff maintaining and supervising the
splashpads are trained and have followed the procedures noted below: clean and disinfect the
splashpad daily before opening; control and monitor the use of the splashpad; limit the size of
each user group per the maximum occupancy posted; enforce physical distancing requirements
during use and when waiting for use; limit time of use as needed per the numbers waiting to use
the facility; and clean touch points after each user group rotation.
Sports and Fitness
Any instruction given to members of the public who are engaged in a class, an organized
program or an organized activity that is not a sport, will deliver it through a microphone if,
without a microphone, the instructor would need to raise their voice beyond the level of normal
conversation. Loud talking, signing or shouting will not be encouraged and music must not be
played in the facility at a decibel level that exceeds the level at which normal conversation is
possible.
Employees
Staff Return Plans
A Staff Return Plan is required when any employees are required to work at a physical work
location. These plans outline items like specific shift schedules, staggered break/lunch schedules
and different locations for staff meeting/briefings. All these plans go through an approval
process.
Hand Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
The City of Cambridge has a Hand Hygiene for Camps During COVID-19 Management
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP encourages frequent hand washing throughout
the program, and when participants and staff are unable to wash their hands, staff will be
providing hand sanitizer to participants as long as a Hand Sanitizer Permission Form has been
provided.
Service Counter and Staff Interaction Procedure
The City of Cambridge has a Service Counter and Staff Interaction Procedure Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP describes the steps taken for Service Cambridge staff,
other service counter staff, and other City staff when interacting with customers and accepting
payments by debit/credit, cheques or cash.
Service Desk Equipment Handling Procedure
The City of Cambridge has a Service Desk Equipment Handling Procedure Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP describes the steps taken for the Service Desk and other Technology
Support staff, when handling equipment, working another user’s workspace or at another City

facility and to ensure the safe handling of equipment, safe interaction with clients and support
infectious disease control.
Dispensing of Fuel and Other Bulk Fluids
The City of Cambridge has a Dispensing of Fuel and Other Bulk Fluids Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to ensure reasonable precautionary measures are
met performing the task of fuelling vehicles and dispensing of other bulk fluids through
commonly used dispensing systems to reduce the risk of contamination to employees.
Residence and Building Entry
The City of Cambridge has a Residence and Building Entry Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP). The SOP applies to all staff when entering a private residence or other occupied indoor
building or space to perform job tasks. The purpose of the SOP is to protect employees while
they continue to conduct essential works for the community during a pandemic and ensure
continued safety and health of our staff and residents
Outdoor Inspections and Field Visits
The City of Cambridge has an Outdoor Inspections and Field Visits Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP outlines steps staff shall take when conducting an outdoor inspection
or field visit during COVID-19.
PPE Requirements
Employees
The City of Cambridge has a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Prioritization During a
Pandemic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to assist in
identifying and prioritizing PPE distribution to our employees based on their risk of contracting
COVID-19 through their work-related activities. The SOP is an addition to existing corporate
and departmental policies and procedures that apply to PPE, and does not replace them.
Availability of PPE and Supplies are supplied to staff through the business unit supervisor. Staff
that are looking for information on PPE or require additional equipment/supplies are asked to
reach out to their supervisor.
Donning, Doffing and Disposal of PPE
The City of Cambridge has a Donning, Doffing and Disposal of PPE Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to identify the proper methods for putting on, taking
off, and disposing of PPE required. to protect workers from communicable diseases.
Recreation Staff Personal Protective Equipment
The City of Cambridge has a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Recreation Staff during a
Pandemic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP applies to any Parks, Recreation, and
Culture program staff and/or volunteers who are supervising, convening or participating in
programs and is intended to provide high-level guidance to help ensure a consistent approach in
order to minimize risks to staff during the COVID-19 pandemic related to personal protective
equipment (PPE). Staff must also ensure that PPE is worn properly and disposed of in a safe
manner in order to protect coworkers and the community from bacterial and viral transmission.

Facility Cleaning
The City of Cambridge has implemented COVID-19 facility cleaning processes required to
ensure a safe workplace for employees and a safe facility for the public to attend.
The City of Cambridge has an Enhanced Cleaning Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The
SOP provides direction and resources to staff that are performing enhanced cleaning service to
support infection control throughout the facility. There are areas within the building that have
been identified as frequent touchpoints and are cleaned more frequently.
The facility is being cleaned on a regular basis with emphasis on high frequency touchpoints and
common areas. Disinfecting supplies have been approved through Health Canada and additional
measures are being taken by janitorial staff, including utilizing disposable mops/cloths.
Throughout the day touchpoints are being disinfected.
Disinfected stations are located throughout the building and signage is posted to inform
employees of these stations and how to clean frequently touches surfaces.
Any washrooms, locker rooms, change rooms, showers or similar amenities made available to
the public are cleaned and disinfected as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary
condition. Any computer, electronic and other machines or devices that members of the public
are permitted to operate are cleaned and disinfected as frequently as is necessary to maintain a
sanitary condition.
Programs
Sports Played in the Facility
Any equipment that is rented to, provided to or provided for the use of users of the facility will
be cleaned and disinfected between each use or, where used in a game or practice, at the end of
play, such as at the completion of a game or practice.
Activities must not be practised or played within the facility if they require the use of fixed
structures that cannot be cleaned and disinfected between each use or, where used in a game or
practice, at the end of play
Recreation - Equipment, Supplies and Furnishings Usage, Cleaning and Disinfecting during a
Pandemic
The City of Cambridge has an Equipment, Supplies and Furnishings Usage, Cleaning and
Disinfecting during a Pandemic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for employees. The
purpose of the SOP is to ensure the risk of transmission of infections (COVID-19) and cross
contamination can be minimized in all program and service settings through proper cleaning
procedures. Staff are to always follow the current procedure as outlined by the Enhanced
Cleaning protocols SOP. The SOP applies to all employees and volunteers within the City of
Cambridge leading programs in City of Cambridge facilities.
Employees
Disinfectant stations are located throughout the building where areas of high-frequency
touchpoints have been identified. The Facility Plan floor plan indicates these locations. The
areas have been outfitted with hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray/wipes, paper towels and a waste
bin. Staff are asked to refer to the Enhanced Cleaning Services SOP that outlines staff

expectations. These supplies can also be utilized by staff at any given time at their own
discretion.
Tool, Maintenance and Facility Equipment Cleaning
The City of Cambridge has a Tool, Maintenance and Facility Equipment Cleaning Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP provides procedures to ensure reasonable precautionary
measures are met while utilizing commonly shared tools and equipment, both mobile and shop
equipment to reduce the risk of contamination to employees. Examples of these items may
include but are not limited to; hand tools/shared tools, specialty equipment; facility equipment -
shop tools and equipment; small equipment - chainsaws, string trimmers, push mowers, shop air
hoses, extension cords, diagnostic devices, chop saws etc.
Cleaning tools before and after signage is posted in the appropriate locations.
Training Equipment Usage and Cleaning
The City of Cambridge has a Training Equipment Usage and Cleaning Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP applies to all employees within the City of Cambridge leading
resuscitation, first aid and rescue training courses in City of Cambridge facilities. The purpose of
the SOP is to ensure the risk of cross contamination can be minimized in instructional settings
through proper cleaning procedures.
Vehicle, Equipment and Machinery Cleaning
The City of Cambridge has a Vehicle, Equipment and Machinery Cleaning Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP addresses the process to be used in order to keep vehicles, machinery
and equipment used for city business clean and safe during a pandemic and is intended to reduce
the risk of contamination to employees and the public.
Face Covering Requirements
Face Covering signage is posted throughout the building.
Note: Face coverings required except when exercising.
Public
The Regional Municipality of Waterloo enacted a By-law that requires the wearing of Face
Coverings in Enclosed Public Places. Public is to wear a mask or face covering in a manner that
covers their mouth, nose and chin. Click here for more information.
Employees
The City of Cambridge has a Use of Face Coverings During COVID-19 Pandemic Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) for employees. The SOP outlines staff requirements for face
coverings in all City owned buildings other than their immediate workstation. Additionally face
coverings are to be worn in non-public areas where it is not possible to maintain 2-meter physical
distancing another from person. Staff are also required to abide by the directional traffic flow
that has been charted throughout the facilities where possible.

COVID-19 Screening Process
This City of Cambridge has enacted the following process for COVID-19 screening:
Passive Screening
The City of Cambridge has posted Passive Screening signage at the facility entrance doors.
When public enter the building they are required to read and follow the instructions on the
passive screening poster. There are some City facilities that require active screening, please refer
to the information below.
Public Active Screening
Arena Program Entry
The City of Cambridge has an Arena Program Entry via Arena Attendant/Ambassador Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP applies to recreational ice facilities with respect to anyone
that participates in any pre-booked ice use, drop-in or registered recreational programs are in
good health, regulate capacity in programs and confirm a means to complete contact tracing to
support infectious disease control.
Recreational Admission to Program
The City of Cambridge has an Admission to Program During A Pandemic Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP ensures customers admitted to recreational facilities are in good
health, regulate capacity in programs and confirm a means to complete contact tracing to support
infectious disease control.
Recreational Program Entry Aquatics
The City of Cambridge has a Drop-In Recreational Program Entry Aquatics Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The SOP ensures customers that participate in all pay as you go or drop-in
aquatic recreational programs are in good health, regulate capacity in our programs and confirm
a means to complete contact tracing to support infectious disease control.
Recreation, Arts, and Culture program - Exclusion of Sick Staff or Participant During A
Pandemic
The City of Cambridge has an Exclusion of Sick Staff or Participant During A Pandemic
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP applies to any Recreation, Arts, and Culture
program and informs how staff/conveners will approach the treatment of another staff member or
any participants that are unwell.
Farmers Market
The City of Cambridge has a Health Screening and Attendance Tracking Procedure, Cambridge
Farmers COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of this SOP is to ensure
market staff are collecting the necessary information to help with traceability during the COVID-
19 pandemic
Camp - Weekly Participant Declaration of Health Rules During COVID-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Weekly Participant Declaration of Health Rules During COVID-19
Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of this SOP is to ensure
participants are in good health, and have completed the Weekly Participant Declaration of Health
Rules prior to arrival or on arrival with a parent/guardian to review with the participant.

Camp - Daily Participant Screening Check During COVID-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Daily Participant Screening Check During COVID-19 Management
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP outlines how staff will intake any participant
who is registered in the Parks, Recreation, and Culture camp programs to ensure
parents/guardians are accountable for their child’s health screening, and to report to their Camp
Supervisor when ill, or when COVID like-symptoms are present.
Employees Active Screening
The City of Cambridge has a Daily COVID-19 Screening Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
for employees, volunteers and essential visitors. The SOP outlines that employees, volunteers
and essential visitors must complete a daily screening prior to entering the workplace, every
workday, shift, or appointment.
Contact Tracing The City of Cambridge has implemented COVID-19 contact tracing processes required to ensure
a safe workplace for employees and a safe facility for the public to attend.
Public
Any member of the public must make a reservation prior to entering a recreation facility.
Members of the public who enter this facility are required to provide their name and contact
information for the purpose of contract tracing. The City of Cambridge has developed an online
form asking anyone entering the facility to complete and provide their name and contact
information. If they are unable to complete the online form there is a paper option for them to
complete.
Facility Access by Contractors / Consultants
The City of Cambridge has a Facility Access by Contractors / Consultants Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP). The purpose of this SOP is to provide direction and resources to staff
managing facility access by contractors/consultants (proponent) that have been deemed an
essential service for the purposes of keeping the City’s facilities safe, in state of good repair and
compliant during times of mandatory closures.
Farmers Market

Farmers COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of this SOP is to ensure
market staff are collecting the necessary information to help with traceability during the COVID-
19 pandemic.
Employees
The City of Cambridge has a Communicable Disease Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Schedule A in the SOP outlines actions required for employee contact tracing.
Potential Case or Suspected Exposure to COVID-19 The City of Cambridge has implemented processes for dealing with potential case or suspected
exposures to COVID-19 that are required to ensure a safe workplace for employees and a safe
facility for the public to attend.

Isolation Area
There is a designated COVID-19 Isolation area for the facility and signage is posted to identify
the area. Should someone from the public or staff become ill, the isolation room is the location
they can be taken to if required.
Recreation - Exclusion of Sick Staff or Participant During A Pandemic
The City of Cambridge has an Exclusion of Sick Staff or Participant During A Pandemic
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP procedure applies to any Recreation, Arts, and
Culture program. The purpose of the SOP is to inform staff/convener of how to approach the
treatment of another staff member or any participants that are unwell.

Quick Reference Guides for employees and supervisors. The SOP and Quick Reference guides
are procedures that outline the actions required for employees if there is a potential case or
suspected exposure to COVID-19, including key contact numbers.

Sports and Recreational Fitness Facilities
Yellow Zone
Team or individual sports must be modified to avoid physical contact; 50 people per
league.
Limit volume of music to conversation level and prevent shouting by both instructors and
members of the public.
Face coverings required except when exercising.
Increase spacing between patrons to 3 metres for areas of a sport or recreational facility
where there are weights or weight machines and exercise and fitness classes.
Require contact information for all patrons and attendance for team sports.
Require reservation for entry; one reservation for teams.
Organized Sport Groups

The City of Cambridge has a Safe Arrival of Camp During COVID-19 Management Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP outlines the role of staff in helping protect the safety of
children by ensuring that all staff, including supervisors, camp leaders, inclusion facilitators and
parents/guardians know the whereabouts of absent children; to communicate important
information with parents/guardians and to create any easy transition for participants into
programs.
Camp- Safe Dismissal of Camp During COVID-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Safe Dismissal of Camp During COVID-19 Management
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to ensure staff protects the
safety of children by confirming that each child’s departure is noted and that they are released
only to authorized adults. To ensure camp leaders communicate important information regarding
the participant’s day and to provide reminders for upcoming events.
Aquatics
Swim Admission Process during Covid-19 Management
The City of Cambridge has a Swim Admission Process during Covid-19 Management Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP). The purpose of the SOP is to ensure bathers admitted to our aquatic
facilities age and swimming ability has been identified to determine whether or not they require
direct within arm’s reach supervision during their visit during COVID-19.

Act O. Reg 364/20.
Facility Open to the Public Capacity (this does not include Sports, Recreational and Fitness

The number of persons in the facility will be limited to the capacity were every member of the
public is able to maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from every other person in
the facility, except where provincial regulations or public health guidance, as applicable, permits
persons to be closer together.

The total number of spectators permitted to be at the facility at any one time must be
limited to the number that can maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from
every other person in the facility
In any event cannot exceed, 50 spectators indoors and 100 spectators outdoors
Orange Zone
Fitness and Weight and Exercise Capacity
Will not exceed 10 people or the capacity will be limited to the ability to maintain 3
metres distance between individuals, whichever is less.
Each indoor fitness/exercise class will take place in a separate room.
Total Members of the Public Permitted in the Facility for Sports or Fitness Capacity
The total number of members of the public permitted to be the facility at one given time
(including all classes, organized programs or organized activities and areas containing
weights or exercise machines) will not exceed 50 people.
Spectators in the Facility Capacity
No spectators are permitted to be in the facility, but each person under the age of 18 years
who is engaged in activities in the facility, may be accompanied by one parent or
guardian.
Red Zone
Maximum 50 people per facility in all combined recreational fitness spaces or programs (not
pools, rinks at arenas, community centres, and multi-purpose facilities).
Gyms and fitness studios permitted to be open with:
10 people indoors (classes)
25 people outdoors (classes)
10 people indoors (areas with weights or exercise equipment)
All sports and recreational programs in other facilities (arenas and multiplexes) limited to
10 people per room indoors and 25 outdoors.
Employee Area Capacity
Facilities staff performed a COVID-19 facility audit and determined room capacity and posted
room capacity signage throughout the building.
The total number of staff in the facility will be limited to the capacity where employees and
members of the public is able to maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from every
other person in the facility.

Rental or Event Space
The total number of members of the public permitted to be in all of the rentable meeting or event space in the facility at any one time is limited to the number that can maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from every other person in the business or place, and in any event is not permitted to exceed 50 persons, if the meeting or event is indoors.
The facility will not permit the booking of more than one room for any particular event or a social gathering. In addition to the above, performing arts rental permits which involve singers or brass or wind instruments do not permit spectators.

accordance with the approved plan from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of

No consumption of liquor permitted between 12 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Require contact information for all seated patrons.
Limit of 6 people may be seated together.
Limit volume of music (to be no louder than the volume of a normal conversation).
Orange Zone
Maximum of 50 people per facility.
Booking multiple rooms for the same event not permitted.
Limit operating hours, establishments must close at 10 p.m.
Liquor sold or served only between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
No consumption of liquor permitted between 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Require contact information for all seated patrons.
Limit of 4 people may be seated together.
Limit volume of music (to be no louder than the volume of a normal conversation).

COVID-19 Employee Training
The City of Cambridge has developed COVID-19 training. Supervisors are responsible for assigning the COVID-19 training that is specific to the employee’s job function or facility. The training is assigned through the Learning Management System.
