Script of Cinderella

Scene 1- In the living roomLong long time ago, there lived a girl who named Cinderella and her parents. They lived happily but her life had changed when her mother died. A couple of years later, her father remarried.

Father : Cinderella, come here. This is your stepmother and both of them are your sisters.Stepmother : Hi, Cinderella. I am your stepmother. I will treat you just like my daughter.Father: Cinderella, call her mother.Cinderella: Mmmother. [with the feeling of fear]Stepsisters: Hello, Cinderella. We are your sisters.Cinderella : Hi.Stepmother: Go and play with Cinderella.Stepsisters: Ok, mother. Cinderella, come and play with us.

After a few years, Cinderellas father died. Then, Cinderella lived with her stepmother who was cruel and stepsisters who were greedy and selfish.

Stepsister A: Cinderella, come here to help me to iron clothes.Stepsister B: Cinderella, help me to clean the floor.Stepmother: Cinderella, help me to wash all the clothes and dry them before I come back.Stepmother: Lets go out for shopping, my lovely daughters. Leave the things and let Cinderella do them alone.

Three hours later, stepmother and stepsisters came back home.

Stepsister A: Mum, is this dress nice? [Take out a dress]Stepsister B: Mum, my dress is nicer than her, right? [Take out a dress]Stepmother: Both dresses are nice.Stepmother: Cinderella, have you done with the housework?Cinderella: Mother, I have done all the housework. Stepmother: Cinderella, this is your dress and you sleep at kitchen tonight. [Take out an old dress]

Scene 2- In the kitchenCinderella: Little white mouse, are you willing to be my friend?Mouse: Yes, I am willing to be your friend.Cinderella: You can speak! [shock]Mouse: Yes, I can speak well.Cinderella: You are my only friend. Will you listen to my thought? I have no one who can speak with me.Mouse : [nod head]Cinderella: I am really sad and I miss my parents so much. Dad, mum, I really miss both of you. I wish both of you are here and we live happily like before. [start to cry]Mouse: Dont be sad. They are always looking at you from the sky. [wipe Cinderellas tears]

Scene 3- In the living roomOne fine afternoon, Cinderellas family received an invitation.

Stepsisters: Mum, what is that? [point the invitation]Stepmother: I also dont know. Open and find it out.Stepsister A: Mum, look this. This is the invitation of inviting us to the ball in the Princes palace. [with feeling of excited]Stepsister B: I am so excited too and cant wait to go there.Cinderella: I also have chance to go there. Yeah!Stepsisters: No, you cant go. You should stay at home to scrub the floors. You dont even have a gown to wear. [laugh at Cinderella]Stepmother: Lets go now to choose what to wear to the ball.Stepsisters: Mum, go out and look for expensive gown.

Scene 4- In the kitchenOn the afternoon of the party, Cinderella was asked to iron her stepmothers and stepsisters gown.

Stepmother: Cinderella, help me to iron this gown.Stepsisters : These are ours gown. Iron these now. Be faster, it almost time now.

They left Cinderella alone at home and went to the ball.

Stepsisters: Mum, faster please. We are late now. The car is ready.Stepmother: Ok! I am coming down now. Wait us home and dont be lazy.Cinderella: [wave her hand]

Cinderella sat crying by the fireplace. Suddenly, a fairy appeared.

Fairy: Why are you crying here? Any problem? I can help you to solve it.Cinderella: Who are you? Why are you here? [shock]Fairy: I am your fairy godmother. I am here to help you.Cinderella: I wish I can go to the ball. [crying face]Fairy: I help you to go there.Cinderella: But I dressed in rags. How can I go?Fairy: Dont worry.

The fairy waved her magic wand. Cinderellas ragged dress changed into a beautiful party gown.

Cinderella: How about my shoes? I dont have shoes.Fairy: Wait! [wave her magic wand]Fairy: Look! That is your shoes.Cinderella: Whoa! Thank you, fairy godmother. This shoe is made of glass. It is so beautiful.Fairy: You must also have a coach to travel in. Let me think about it. Little white mouse, are you willing to help her?Mouse: Of course.Fairy: Wait for me. Lets go out and I go to fetch a pumpkin.

The fairy put the pumpkin together with the mouse. She waved her wand again.

Fairy: Look! The pumpkin has changed into a beautiful carriage and the mouse has turned into a white horse. Now, you may go to the ball.Cinderella: Thank you, fairy godmother.

Cinderella stepped carefully into the coach.

Fairy: Remember that the magic only lasts until midnight. You must leave the party before midnight.Cinderella: Ok! I promise you. Goodbye, fairy godmother. [wave her hand]

Scene 5- In the palaceCinderella arrived at the palace. She felt nervous. She walked down the staircase slowly. Everyone was looking at her.

Other people: She is so beautiful. Who is she?Stepsister A: Is that Cinderella?Stepsister B: Errmm, no. How could she be here?Stepmother: Why is Cinderella here?Stepsisters: We thought that she is not Cinderella. Is that she?Stepmother: How come both of you cant recognize her? Stepsister: Mum, but how could she here?Stepmother: I dont know. We find it out when we go back home.

The Prince walked towards Cinderella.

Prince: May I have a dance with you?Cinderella: Yes. [nod head and feel shy]Prince: You are so beautiful.Cinderella: Thank you for your compliment.

They danced and laughed together all evening and had a wonderful time.

Cinderella: (monologue) Its almost midnight. I should leave now. The magic is gonna ran out!Cinderella: Sorry, the Prince. I should leave now. [ran out the ballroom]Prince: I havent ask for your name. I dont know who you are. Wait for me. [chase Cinderella]

Suddenly, one of her shoes fell off. She had no time to stop and pick it up.

Prince: Your shoes fell off. [pick up Cinderellas shoe]Prince: I would find you out.

The bell rang. Cinderellas dress turned back into rags when she reached at the palace gates. The coach disappeared and the horse became a mouse once again.

Mouse: Finally, you are back. Where is the other side of shoe?Cinderella: It fell off and I have no time to pick it up. Lets go back to the reality. Its time for us to go back home. We should go back earlier than stepmother and stepsisters. [pick up the mouse]Cinderella: I should keep the shoe secretly. [hide the shoe under the cupboard]

The Prince had no idea why Cinderella had suddenly ran off! He looked all over the palace but could not find her.

Prince: (monologue) I will find the girl that this shoe fits and ask her to marry me.

Around 12.30 in the midnight, stepmother and stepsister came back.

Stepmother: Where did you go just now?Cinderella: I didnt go anywhere. I was in the kitchen the whole night.Stepsisters: Are you sure? But we saw you in the palace.Cinderella: No, I didnt go there. Maybe you got the wrong person.Stepmother: Ya, maybe we recognized wrongly. Impossible that girl is her. Look, she is totally different from that beautiful girl.Stepsister A: That girl dressed like a princess.Stepsister B: But you dress in rags.[Stepmother and stepsisters leave her and go to bed.]

Scene 6The Prince went to every house in the land. He was searching for the girl from the party.

Prince: Can you please try on this shoe?Girl A: Whoa, this shoe is made of glass.Girl B: This is too small for me. Prince: Go to other house.Girl C: This is too big for me.Girl D: This doesnt suits me.Prince: Where is that girl? How can I find you?Guard: Dont worry, Prince. There is one last house.Prince: Lets go to that house. I wish she is there.

Scene 7- In the Cinderellas housePrince: I am here to find the girl who fits this shoe.Stepmother: Oh! Please come in. My lovely daughters, come out faster. Look who is here.Stepsisters: Ok, mum. We will be downstairs in a few minutes.Prince: Can both of you try on this shoe?Stepsisters: Sure, my pleasure.

The stepsisters tried to squash their feet into the shoe.Prince : Enough. I dont think both of you fit this shoe. This shoe is almost broken. Madam, how many daughters do you have?Stepmother: I have two daughters only.Prince: Is there any other girls living in the house?Stepsisters: Only a servant.

At the same time, Cinderella came out from the kitchen to give a drink to the Prince.

Prince: Who is this girl? Stepmother: She is my servant.Cinderella: I am not really a servant.Prince: Can you try on this shoe?Cinderella: [receive the shoe from the Prince and try it on]Prince: The shoe fits you. So you are the girl from the party! Will you marry me?Cinderella : Yes.

She then took out the shoe that she hid under the cupboard.

Scene 8- In the palaceCinderella and the Prince were married and everyone in the land celebrated. The fairy godmother came to the wedding but the stepsisters didnt! The Prince and Cinderella lived at the palace happily ever after.
