PreparationSupporting Your Success

We will do our best for you with the best environment and the highest teaching environment.

Let’s check before departing!!

Passport :

Your passport should be valid for more than 6 months before arrival.

Tickets :

Check your English name , departure date and departure time.

Insurance :

Before studying, insurance is not an option, it is mandatory. CIJ Academy gives you

the responsibility to get your insurance.

Currency exchange :

You should prepare yourself with US$ to get exchanged once you arrive in Cebu.

Have $100 bills and $50 bills prepared. Higher bills have a better exchange rate

than smaller bills.

ATM Card :

The best way to prepare your money is through using an international ATM card. Before

departing from your country, you should prepare an ATM card from CITI Bank or your main

bank. (Prepare two ATM cards in case one gets lost)

* Hand carry baggage (For the head compartment) : must be no bigger than 55 X 40 X 20 and

weigh less than 7kg.

* Check in baggage : Must be below 20kg

* Additional costs per 1kg is $8~$10

* The ban list : Lighters, Sprays, Gas, Flammable substances.

* The ban list from the airplane : Liquids, Gels, Umbrella, Knife, Tools or anything sharp

You must be at the airport 2 hours before your departure time

When the check in counter is open, you have to check in your luggage, receive your boarding pass and board the plane. (You can’t proceed to the plane if you have any liquids on your person.)

Have your passport and ticket ready at least one hour before you check in.

Upon boarding your flight, you have to follow proper protocol. Your flight time might get changed so you have to check the time for you to board your plane.

When your Airline start to check in, you have to receive your ticket and check your baggage. (Please, keep in mind that some materials are not allowed to bring in the flight.)

You need to pass security checkpoint and start to process departure before 1 hour.

Checking boarding gate is better before you enjoy another convenience such as duty free, restaurant etc.. ( Boarding gate would be opened usually 40 minutes before depart.)

You’d better to check flight schedule, because there could be some problems.

When arriving in the airport, you must go to the immigration counter and submit your passport. Once finished, you will get an immigration card to proceed. (If you are asked for your purpose of visit to the Philippines, you should say “tour”.)

You must give your custom declaration paper to the immigration desk. Afterwards, you can get your luggage. (There are taxes to pay when you have bought something from duty free so you have to remove all packaging and pack it in your bag.)

When you leave the airport, you will see the pick up staff. (From the airport to the Academy, it takes 15-20 minutes)

Class regulations :

Our academy rules state that we will give warnings to the student if the student is absent 4

times in a week without permission.

Smoking in a non-smoking area or drinking in the dormitory can result in immediate

expulsion without warning.

Overnight without permission :

The students who go out without a travel permit plan or an overnight form can get a warning

letter.
