Method 1. Take two sticks and place the string parallel with a short tail at the top and the long tail downwards. 2. Wrap the long tail round both sticks horizontally 4 times, making sure the short tail is still showing and your wrappings are tight. 3. Now split the sticks and wrap 4 times vertically between the sticks tightly. 4. Tie the end of the string to the short tail to make a double knot to secure it. 5. Repeat to lash two more sticks together. 6. Place your wrapped sticks in front of you, one like an upside down V and the other a normal V. Place your last stick in between to make a zig-zag. (See picture 6) 7. Lash the loose ends as before to fasten it all together. 8. Can you use logical thinking skills to form a star with your sticks? 9. You may want to add some extra knots to fasten your star securely. 10. Loop some string through your star and knot to form a hanging loop. 11.Hang your star for a natural festive decoration!
