Altar Flower Ministry 2015

For those wishing to become a Primary Donorin St. Paul’s 2015 Altar Flower Ministry, there are5 Sundays available: January 25, February 22, March 8, April 26, and October 14. A new Primary Donor selects one of the above dates, reserves the date with the office, gives their wording, contacts a florist who delivers early Saturday morning, chooses the flowers, and pays the total florist bill. Each Primary Donor has to share their Sunday with other donors. There are guidelines to be followed for each Liturgical season of the year.

Associate Donors may share any Sunday. An Associate Donor calls or emails Norma, giving her their wording and pays the Altar Flower Fund $50.00 for each Sunday they participate. All Associate Donors must contact the office if they wish to participate in 2015, even if they have participated in the past.

For more information on theAltar Flower Ministry,

A Big Thank You!It is with a happy heart that I say thank you to the various people that kept EYC going while I was on maternity leave. While I enjoyed my time at home with my family, I did miss all of my sweet EYC kiddos! However, I knew that they were in good hands in my absence. Thanks go out to the entire Youth Committee who helped with the logistics on Sunday evenings. Thank you also to Tiffany and Tommy Fry, Keith Mikeska, and Suzy Nettles for leading discussion on Sunday evenings; I know the youth enjoyed their time! Lisa St. Romain helped one Sunday with CY2 and I heard they had a great time! And, last but not least, many thanks to you all for the prayers and congratulations. My family is appreciative of all of you! Peace, Erin Busby

The Rev. Alex Montes, who served among us here at St. Paul’s, was asked by Bishop Doyle to plant a new church. St. Mary Magdalene in Manor began meeting in the Cafeteria of Manor High School but will be the first church plant in the Diocese to use a temporary church building designed to be a house of worship until the new mission can raise enough funds to build a permanent and larger building. We have asked Alex how St. Paul’s can support this new church plant, and Alex has noted that they do not have a processional cross. So, St. Paul’s will be raising the funds to purchase a cross in honor of Alex’s ministry and in support of this new Mission of the Diocese of Texas. Rather than take funds away from our current programs, we ask for donations toward this gift. If you wish to support this gift to St. Mary Magdalene, please note on the memo line of your check or write on an envelope “St. Mary Magdalene” and we will collect the funds until we have enough to purchase the cross!
