WHAT'S COMING UP AT CTK?
Christ the King Jesuit College Prep?s Counseling
Department collaborates with students, families,
teachers, administrators, and other educational partners
to provide a comprehensive counseling program to meet
the academic, socio-emotional, career and college needs
of our students. Counselors foster unique relationships
with students as a vehicle to provide individualized
counseling, supportive school wide programs and an
extensive social emotional and college readiness
curriculum so that students reach their highest academic
and personal potential.

SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
PARENT REFERRAL PROCESS
Individual Counseling
One-on-one counseling is offered on a short-term basis for a variety of student
concerns that may be affect ing them emotionally or academically, such as stress,
family changes, bullying, peer relat ions, help with school success, etc.
Advisory Guidance Lessons
Counselors go to advisory classes once per quarter to address important
preventat ive and developmental topics that are determined by student needs
assessment data. This quarter's advisory lesson topic is social media et iquette!
Small Groups
This quarter, the counseling team is start ing small groups which will focus a few
different topics: Self-Esteem, Anger Management, and Grief/Loss.
Parent Meet ings
Soon the Counseling Department will be partnering with parents for quarterly
psycho-educat ional meetings to discuss current and relevant mental health topics
to help support students.

While the summer can be a time to have fun and be carefree, it can
also be a time to participate in productive activities to build on learning, skills, experiences and
