chose crewnecks for my first re-lease because I had always pic-tured the 1990 logo on a deep red

FALL13crewneck sweatshirt. I decided to make it a reality. I also offered heath-er grey as the other option, for anyone looking for an alternate version. The last decision was picking ink colors. I liked white and gold because it was different. The gold ink had a texture to it and stood out, but was simulta-neously subtle. I placed the 1990 logo on the front in a medium size that didn’t swallow the entire sweatshirt. On the back, I placed my signature in the same gold for an added detail.

y second release was hooded sweatshirts. The quality of the crewnecks was well-received, and I looked to get even further with the new batch. The forest colorway used the same M

colors as previously seen on the crewnecks. The navy colorway had a red and cream logo, with a red signature. Also, the signature was placed on the left sleeve. The navy hoody stood out the most out of the entire collection, because of the different logo colors. Yet, everything balanced out and no pieces looked out of place. I am very proud of the brand’s premiere.

BACK

Without the support of my friends and family, there would be no Winter 2013 release. Thankfully, I have a great group of generious people around me that chose to put faith in some-thing I came up with. If I hadn’t sold any of the initial crew-necks, I would not have been able to express myself again and come up with something new. The line will get better with each release.

FUTUREGOALSThe future goals of the Chris Collins 1990 brand are unknown. I’m not even sure if I’ve decided on a name or if anything is permanent. This started as an experiment, and now the sky is the limit. Exploring options with cut and sew pieces like woven shirts and buttondowns would be extremely fun and interesting. Pushing product to wider markets and bigger names would also be worth looking into. Chance the Rapper has supported the brand, wearing the red crewneck on his Social Experiment Tour which traveled across the United States. The options for the future are endless, and I look forward to finding out the extent of what that truly means.
