Division of Globe in ancient Indian Literature

King Priyavratha had seven sons, says Indian Puraana. Each of them had names or

Synonyms of Agni/Fire. The Globe was divided into seven Islands (Sapthadweepa)

floating in Milky ocean (Paalaazhi/Sudhasindhu) and each island was ruled by the seven

    sons or seven Agni.

Annie Besant and Madame Blavatsky had identified these Islands as different continents

    .

Dweepam Annie Besant Madame BlavatskyJambu Asia Eurasia

    Plaksha South America South America

    Salmali Australia Australia

    Kusa Oceania Oceania

    Krouncham Africa Africa

    Sakam Europe Atlantis

    Pushkaram North America North America

According to Blavatsky, Plaksham,Kusam,Salmali and Krouncham had been immersed

under the sea for a very long time and surfaced again and Sakam is at present thesubmerged legendary Atlantis .A part of the Saka dweepa called the

swetha(white)dweepa or Shetland is the present day Greenland and part of Siberia

    according to her.

But Bhavishyapurana of India says that Swethadweepa is beyond the salty sea

(Lavanasamudra) and Maga Brahmins of this land had built a great temple for Sun God

for the sake of Sambha, son of Krishna in Jambavathi ( of the Riksha race of South

India).Riksha race and Jambavan its chief is considered as the earliest inhabitant of the

human race and he lived in South India .Thr Riksha Raaja or the Great Bear family is the

race of Jambavan of South India. From Ramayana to Mahabharatha period this greatRace of Riksha, Jaambavaan was existing in India. Maya is the generic name of people of

Saka Dweepa ( Atlantis according to Blavatsky) according to Indian scriptures. Maya is

the great Architect and Astronomer of Asuraas of Sakadweepa, while Viswakarma is

the architect of Jambudweepa. The resemblance of the word Asuraas and Azoras (

where legendary Atlantis stood) and the use of same word Maya for builders of this area

in India and in American languages has to be seriously considered. Maya was the father

of Mandodari, consort of Ravana of Sri Lanka during Ramayana periods. During

Mahabharatha period also a person from Maya race was in India, who built the

Mayasabha for King Yudhishtira. Sounakahora, an ancient Astronomy text speaks ofMaya as a Guru in science of Astronomy and that he instructed sage Viswamithra on

certain aspects of Astronomy. According to all Indian texts Maya had his original abode

in Romakapura in Athalaantham ( at the end of Athalam) and Atlantic ocean gets its

name from this Sanskrit word Athalaantham . Romakasidhantha , is a Lunisolar

Astronomy which is attributed to Maya Asura . These subaltern legends and similarities

in names suggest that India and Americas had sea trade and contacts in very ancient

    period.

    Puranic division of Jambudweepa

Jambudweepa has nine parts. Between the two poles run Mount Meru or

Mahaameru and around it the Arctic Ilaavritham.Around Meru are the

Bhaarathavarsha,Hiranmayavarsha,Ramyakavarsha on one side, Kethumaala andBhadraswam on the other. The orthographic Map (Fig 1) shows this

division.Tropical landmasses above the equator ,spreading almost 270 degrees

on the globes surface , around the Equator represent the Jambudweepa. In this

way, Indian scriptures consider Indians,Lankans,Atlanteans and other people of

other continents as sons of Priyamvada, the Indian Emperor .All belong to the

same race of Priyamvada, and the firstborn son of Priyamvada, Agneendhra .

In some of the Puranas Jambudweepa is in the shape of a Lotus (Figure 2).

When Atlantis sank people of Jambudweepa also submerged because at that

time these were continuous landmasses in the Tropical belt. When theyseparated Plakshadweepa and survived parts of Jambudweepa lost connections

for some time .People from Plakshadweepa and Romakapura of lost Athalantha

who were at that time separated from their original home have histories of such

lost tribes. (Readers Digest .Last mysteries of the world .Voyage to Atlantis) In

Indian Purana, one of the lost tribes was Malyavaan with his brothers Maali and

Sumaali and they were in South India .Malyavans daughter Kaikasi was married

as second wife to sage Visravas of the Pulasthya clan and from that wedlock

were born Ravana,Kumbhakarna,Vibheeshana and Soorppanagha (Ramayanam

period) and no wonder Ravana married Mayas daughter Mandodari fromAtlantis when theycould reestablish connections. Mandodari was a girl from

Ravanas mothers tribe, daughter of a Mayan , a native of Azorez. Thus Indian

scriptures state that oceanic contact and intermarriages existed between people

of Americas and India /Srilanka. Both Indians and Mayans have Astronomical

    traditions and architectural traditions .

Skandahora divided the globe into four equal parts of 90 degree each. They are

named Bhogavathi,Samyam, ani,Sidhavathi and Romavathi. Then the globe is

divided into a sixpointed star (Shanmugha a synonym of Skanda/Muruka) eachconsisting of 60 degrees. (Fig 3). This division when computed to the division of

globe given by Varahamihira (Fig 4) gives shape of a tortoise (Koormavibhaga of

Parasara and other ancient astronomers) .The figure also shows the route taken

by Arjuna when he travelled all over the world during Mahabharatha , which

corresponds to early Harappan and Indus valley times.

Kimpurusha varsha is aname which gave rise to the word Russia later on.

Ramyakavarsha is possibly China.According to Garggasamhitha Hari

(Mahavishnu) once incarnated in Swethadweepa as emperor of that continent

and thus that part where he incarnated came to be known as Harivarsha .Beyond

Gujrath , in the land of Kekaya (where Bharatha , incarnated )lies Kekaya , and

its nearby lands called Harivarsha.Rgveda mentions division of globe by the Ribhus.Rishi Vamadeva does not know

the exact day or date on which the division was first done.(Ch 8.sooktha

51.Mandala 1.Rg).The first Ribhu divided the globe into two equal halves of 180

degree.Vibhu, the second Ribhu, divided it into 3 parts of 120 degree

each.Vaajan, the last and third Ribhu divided it into 4 equal parts of 90

    degree(Ch 7.sooktham 33).

When Rishi Prajapathi talks about the six horses of sun , five in succession,it is

the six seasons and the Panchavarsh Paithamaha time division of the Calendaralready in use by Vedic people.Paithamahasidhantha is the oldest Astronomical

text of the world. It says: There are three areas above or on the back , and of

these only one is visible and the other two are invisible.Below ( in front of globe)

is a beautiful core with three yonis ,three heads of dharma and three breasts. In

each of the three parts, the sun stay for 4 months. The sunmakes love withone

Devi for 4 months. Then leaves her for next 8 months. In this way sunrepeats his

cycle every 12 month to return to his position. These areas where sun bestows

his grace (Varsha/Rain) are therefore called Varsha (Year/ Bhaarathavarsha

etc).People of the areas get rains (Varsha) when sun stays with their Devi/Varshaand these people are called Devas who enjointhe lifegiving nectar of rain. The

Devis are named Ila, Saraswathi and Bharathi. (Ila in Himalaya area) Saraswathi

in plains of North India , and Bhaarathi in South and central India.(People are

Aila, Saaraswatha, and Bhaaratha races). All these Bhoodevaas are divine beings,

sons of Vishnu, as Surya narayana. Saaraswatha and Gouda are sons of

Harivarsha and of Gouda (Vanga) desa where Saraswathi and Ganga flow.

When globe is divided into 12 month/rasi only 8 parts are visible land masses on

equatorial plane. Two are on other side , hence invisible. The rest is the

Aleutiansea from where we see sunrise .This two invisible and the one sunrisearea together form three parts called Thribhona in ancient Astronomy.Literal

meaning is Oonam (minus) thri (Three) Bham (zodiacal sign/Rasi) .Thus the

system of completing only 270 degrees in a Siva temple came about.

Thribhonam is minus 90 degree..The first landmass seen on east of

Bhaarathavarsha was thus named Ribhona or Thribhona (Thribhuvana) and this

is pronounced as Rippon ( ancient name of Japan). The first landmass towards

East of India where the sunrays of rising sun touch the first visible part ( after

traversing the invisible three parts on other side of globe). The Land of the Rising

sun is thus a term , in relation to its position from an onlooker/astronomer from

    Indian subcontinent.

From that point ,landmasses are divided into three divisions of 90 degree. Then, the North East of India and around Himavath is Ilaavritha, middle parts of Plains

of North India and the North west Saraswathi and the lower central India and

South India is Bharathi. When sun rise at Lanka ( zero point) or at Ujjain ( Tropic

of Karkkitaka/Cancer) the sun sets at Kethumala (Guatemala) or at Sidhapura .At

kuru and Romakapura it is midnight while bhadraswa and Yamakoti have their

noon, says all astronomical texts of India, showing their awareness of the shape

of earth, existence of landmasses on other half of the earth and also their names

and calculation of time zones based on a common zero point at Lanka .Their

Lanka is the Meshabindu on cosmic scale and opposite to it ( 180 degree) lie aThulabindu (Thulaa) on cosmos ( a balancing point) and there exists in Mexico a

suncity called Tula .If people of India speaking Sanskrit , mention a city called

Tula exactly 180degree opposite to their Lanka (zero point) they were taking Tula

as their international dateline is evident from scientific logic.

Bhadraswam and Yamakoti are along the Aleutian bay in Pacific , sakalin and

Kuril islands including .Kethumala (Guatemala) and Chethumal ( in gulf of

Mexico) do exist as the Sanskrit astronomical texts describe their time scale.

Sidhapuram is Theothihuacan and Tula in Mexico. Kuru is in North India but

Utharakuru of India extends over Himalayas to Middle Asia and and includedparts of Sahara desert , west boundary of Republic of Mali. In Sahara people

lived in caves millions of years ago . People of Tumbukthu in Mali have a system

of watching the binary stars of Sirius (dogstar) just as Indians do , and Indians of

west coast did this for predicting Monsoon , for taking their ships on voyage, and

predicting fertility /agricultural times of earth. Romakapura is Azoras islands in

Atlantic ocean with submerged Atlantis of Plato. For Indians , this Asura

landmass was submerged because the burden of the Asuras was too much for

the mother earth, and Vishnu her protector and consort protectedher by

submerging the Asura city.It is just a symbolism for law of nature. There had been cultural links between people all over the world through sea

trade and India was the leading partner of the trade relations and cultural

exchange until Europe took over it in the last few centuries.
