ChartIn order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperationand exchanges in various fields between China and othercountries, the Chinese government has set up a series ofscholarship programmes to sponsor international students,teachers and scholars to study and conduct research inChinese universities.

Bilateral Programme (Type A)

This includes full or partial scholarships in accordance withthe educational exchange agreements or consensus betweenthe Chinese government and governments of other countries,institutions, universities or international organizations. Itsupports undergraduate students, graduate students, generalscholars and senior scholars.

To encourage more British students to engage with China based on university level and to promote the relationship between Chinese universities and UK universities, the Chinese Embassy and CSC established this short-term CGS scheme

1. An application letter signed by the applicant U.K. university. 2. A programme introduction (including programme schedule and students list with their majors) 3. Online application http://laihua.csc.edu.cn/inscholarship/jsp/student/StudentLogin.jsp. 4. Chinese partner university will issue the admission letters/JW202 Form to the students after the application accepted by Education Section of Chinese Embassy.

WHY

HOW

An U.K. university can carry out or co-organize a two-month (or longer) for your students with one of your Chinese universities in China. There is no limits for type of students or their fields of study. Varieties of programmes, including language and culture study, workshop, co-labs and internship are accepted. However, the programme must be credit-bearing.
