welcomeWelcome to the Tillery Valley “Chilled Cycles” -our wide range of chilled multi-portion meals,

carefully produced in our premises by a skilled and experienced workforce. Developed to

work successfully in a variety of regeneration equipment the product is backed by

a wide selection of meals specifically designed and produced for those with more complex

dietary needs.

Our chilled cycles are designed to help you easily plan a two or four week menu from the planner on pages 11 and 12. Should you need

any help with your menu planning our teamof experienced consultants and our company

dietitian are available to assist you with the compilation and costing of menus.

Real Time Technical - Summary Table of Tillery Valley Dietary Codings

Code Abbreviation Explanation

Balanced Choice BCDishes that contain moderate amounts of fat, sugar and salt and are suitable as part of a balanced, healthy diet. These dishes are particularly suitable for the nutritionally well.

Energy Dense ED Dishes that contain higher than average calorie content. These dishes are particularly suitable for the nutritionally vulnerable.

Softer(Easy to Chew) S

Easily eaten and able to be mashed with the back of a fork. Should suit service users with simple chewing difficulties or poor teeth/sore mouths/fatigue. Typically soft or moist and can be served in small pieces. Does not indicate dishes for clinically at risk dysphagic patients but will have some of the attributes of Texture E (NPSA Texture Descriptors March 2012).

Vegetarian VSuitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians where milk, egg and their products are consumed but excludes all meat, poultry, fish and ingredients or products derived from these e.g. gelatine and rennet.

Gluten Free GF Contain less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten, i.e. <20mg/kg of gluten.

Note: Regarding salt it is assumed the entrée would be served with starch + vegetables that do not contain added salt.If a dessert is served with an accompaniment then the fat, sugar and salt content of that needs to be taken into account and will probably deem the entire dessert unsuitable for this code even if the accompaniment is free of added sugar, e.g. our custard contains 5g total fat and 3g saturated fat hence exceeding the limits above by itself. So in short, hot desserts served with an accompaniment are not generally part of a balanced choice diet.

Production Cycles

This information sheet is to guide you through the way the Tillery Valley 2 week production cycle works.

The production cycle runs over 14 days, using 10 production days. The production days link into menudays as shown at the top right of the production cycle pages. For reference, the table below provides a summary of how the 2 week cycle relates to your menu planning where M = Monday, T = Tuesday etc and the numbers indicate the production cycle.

Remember to start at Cycle 9 when menu planning for Monday Week One as that cycle provides menu choices for Monday Breakfast and Lunch. For ease of use we have commenced the production cycles at Cycle 9 but it is also repeated again at the end to use when creating Sunday Week Two Lunch and Supper.

Recommended portion yields of products are indicated by the last 2 digits of their ordering code.For example:

-01 indicates a single portion pack

-02 indicates a two portion pack

-06 indicates a six portion pack

-08 indicates an eight portion pack, etc.
