Reading- Students will begin to spend more time focusing on the writing process. Students will write narrative and expository texts. In addition to writing essays we will focus on the steps of writing an extended response. A good extended response will restate the question into an answer format and use examples from the story to support the answer. Students are also in process of reading their first of SEVEN required accelerated reading books. Mrs. Ritchey Math- classes are covering a wider and deeper knowledge

base including Data Tables, Graphs, and some are starting

basic Geometry. It is more important than ever that ALL

homework is done in the student's Math Spiral. Extra help

is available after school on Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Fridays.

All students are encouraged to seek help one of these four

times.
