Flexible Learning allows you to study in your own home or workplace at a time and pace that suits you and

your lifestyle. It is a way of studying that allows you to acquire and update skills without setting foot on the

campus. Flexible Learning may also offer you the opportunity to mix off campus study with some units on

Campus in class, so offering you the best of both worlds.

Each unit have has its own assessment structure. Students are encouraged to enrol in one or two units at a

time. Students are encouraged to complete the units in the order shown at enrolment an on the enrolment

form.

Flexible learning students have a 6 month enrolment period meaning that the units they enrol in must be

completed within 6 months. Learning guides for each unit are provided to each student upon enrolment. The

facilitator may decide to create a timeline with set due dates to help the student get through if desired. These

learning guides contain the content and learning activities. The learning guides also contain assessment plans

and assessment tools.

Assessment for most units requires access to a children’s services workplace.

Students are allocated a facilitator who is responsible for facilitating their learning and assessment.

qualification while on the job.

Training for the Certificate III Children’s Services units through traineeship delivery has been organised into 4
